Day 1: Stuffables
#AniEd #100daysofenrichment #chihuahuasofinstagram
I have several things to use for stuffing but I like these because they don’t hold a lot…Bella needs to lose a pound and Teddy has to maintain his weight as a tripod. It takes effort to get the treat out and it slows both of them down because they’re speed eaters.
I gave them these because I had been gone for a couple of hours and they were both running around like crazy with excitement when I came back. For the moment Teddy isn’t allowed to do that…so this helped to calm them down. by @stacy_oler

Go out and pee as fast as possible because it’s actually sprinkling.
Wait patiently for mom to make breakfast.
Slurp it up.
Get back in bed.
The end.

Bella has a new brother! We got Teddy as a medical foster back in October. He was hit by a car at the end of August and surrendered in September to the Yolo County Animal Shelter because the family couldn’t afford his medical expenses. Unfortunately by the time he was surrendered it was too late to save his leg. It will be amputated at the end of December. He is super sweet! Loves every person he meets and even gets along with our cat Dot. #yolocountyanimalshelter #yolocountyanimalservices #jackchi #dogsofinstagram taken in Yolo County by @stacy_oler

Looking for some little dog love? Moe and Poe came to the Yolo County Animal Shelter at the end of March under sad circumstances. Their owner is no longer able to care for them. They came as a sibling group of four. One of the brothers and the only sister were taken by a rescue group.
Moe and Poe are very well socialized. They have obviously been around people because they are friendly and happy to hang out in your lap. They have pretty decent leash manners. I was able to easily walk the two of them together. They seem to outwardly be in good health and have some of the cleanest teeth I’ve ever seen on older chihuahuas.
They do need a slow introduction to other dogs because they are a bit protective of each other.
It would be a wonderful thing for them to be adopted together but I think they would do well if separated as well.
If you have space in your heart and home make an appointment to meet them! Otherwise please share.
