The most perfect day in Lake Louise.
I've had my fair share of failed photo shoots here - too crowded, too chilly or too warm. But today was pure perfection! #stacyskating #powerskating #yychockey #hockeycanada🇨🇦 taken in Lake Louise, Alberta by @stacyallenpowerskating

From starting at age 3 on the ice to playing with the boys until Bantam, my path was always driven by one thing: relentless dedication.

Heading to Notre Dame for high school shaped my drive, leading me to stay in Canada to play for the top team at the University of Alberta. But the foundation started even earlier. At 12, my dad put me to work coaching skating in Red Deer, he knew it was the best way to get the extra reps required to keep my edge work ahead of the game.

After graduating with my Commerce degree in 2007, I carried that competitive edge straight into the corporate tech world, spending years building a career with companies like Xerox, TELUS, and Microsoft.

As I pivot in my career and coaching today, I’m bringing every tool and skill set I’ve acquired along the way full circle. My mission now is to help empower athletes and build that same relentless mindset on and off the ice. 🏒⚡️

🏒Notre Dame Hounds

I had the pleasure of heading west to Notre Dame in Wilcox, Saskatchewan when I turned 18. I was the oldest “new boy” to Grade 12.
I was a grizzled, and somewhat out of control boy who needed to figure things out. Notre Dame truly helped play a part in shaping who I am today. I of course didn’t realize it at the time. I would go on to Captain the Junior A Hounds in 1994-1995. It was an honor.

Had the pleasure of sitting with @stacyallenpowerskating recently where she too, would go on to explain, some of her time there and how it truly is at ND. It’s an exceptional place where one can find new friends with the same goals, discipline, and focus.

Amazing day of camps, we targeted some new skating muscles and worked out foot speed.

Quickness / sharpness and high focus on the details.

Key messages - be a great teammate, practice everything quicker pace!

My practices always translate the skating to the game, and lately I’m obsessed with gap control.

Concepts I teach:
1. Learn to trust your skating
2. Time and Space +/-
3. Continuous foot speed
4. Ability to change speeds
5. When beat protect the middle
6. Puck pressure

Always so much to teach #happyfriday☺️ #powerskating #hockey #yychockey #stacypowerskating by @stacyallenpowerskating

Ex-pro hockey dads combined forces to build something special: an elite development program designed to help their daughters truly excel on the ice. By surrounding these players with high-level, knowledgeable coaching, they’re getting every tool needed to dominate their game and take their skills to the next level. 🏒💥
