@MaisonGerard’s Benoist F. Drut has been named to the @WallpaperMag US400: The People Shaping Creative America in 2026, and we couldn’t be happier to share the news.

Since joining the gallery as a partner in 1998, Benoist has reshaped how collectible design is presented — pairing contemporary work with period pieces long before that pairing was common practice, and building a program that’s earned Maison Gerard a reputation for resisting easy categorization. His eye has helped define the gallery’s identity at the intersection of French Art Deco heritage and forward-looking contemporary design. This recognition is a fitting nod to nearly three decades of vision.

A warm thanks to @BillPrinceInc and @MichaelReynoldsNYC for recognizing Benoist and the distinctive vision he brings to Maison Gerard year after year. Congratulations, Benoist, and to the entire Maison Gerard team — this one is well earned.

We’re revisiting @PhillipThomasInteriors’ feature in @HomesandGardensOfficial — one that beautifully captures Phillip’s thoughtful approach to designing in harmony with nature.

For this Bellport retreat, the exterior palette wasn’t pulled from a paint deck but inspired by the surrounding woodland. Layered greens, weathered cedar, and organic tones allow the home to feel as though it has always belonged in its setting.

If you missed it the first time, be sure to check out the full story via the link in bio.

Congratulations to @PeterPapRugs on the publication of his latest article in the July/August 2026 print issue of @AntiquesMag.

In the magazine’s “Perspectives” section, Peter examines the changing tastes that have shaped the antique rug market over the past century — from the vibrant palettes once prized by collectors to the rise of bleaching antique carpets to achieve today’s muted aesthetic.

Drawing on his decades of experience, he offers thoughtful perspective on the importance of preserving original color and why richly colored antique rugs may be poised for a resurgence.

A fascinating read that highlights Peter’s expertise and longstanding contribution to the field!

A HUGE Thank you to @ssturner_ for making this article happen!!

This 15k gold and platinum cornet brooch reflects the precision of late Victorian craftsmanship, with rose diamond-set valves and intricate detailing that elevate the miniature instrument into a jewel of remarkable character.

It exemplifies the Victorian fascination with transforming familiar objects into objects of adornment, reflecting the period’s remarkable ingenuity and imagination.

Nature doesn’t need to be tamed to be lived in beautifully.

Featured in @HomesandGardensOfficial’s latest piece on exterior color, @PhillipThomasInteriors shares how a woodland retreat found its palette not in a swatch book, but in the trees surrounding it.

“We always take our cues from nature,” says Phillip. Weathered cedar, layered in tonal greens from Benjamin Moore’s Backwoods to Tea Light, lets the home settle into its setting rather than announce itself within it. The result: a house that looks as though it has always been part of the landscape.

Our appreciation to @Pippa_Janey_Stylist for featuring Phillip’s Bellport project in this fabulous article. Photography by @TheMichaelMundy.

On coastal Connecticut waterfronts, porches often promise more than they deliver, gorgeous views paired with wind, bugs, and the usual outdoor indignities.

For this project, @PhillipThomasInteriors set out to change that equation entirely, transforming an underused porch into a true four-season retreat. “We’ve spent so many years bringing the outdoors into our interiors,” Thomas reflects, “and now we’re bringing our interiors to our outdoors.”

Radiant heat and weather-hardy materials made year-round living possible, while a hand-painted “carpet” underfoot and a sky-blue plaster ceiling gave the space its quiet drama. The result feels as considered in January as it does in July.

Featured in the latest @NEHomeMagazine CT, with thanks to Editor @JennaTalbott and writer @KatherineOsheaEvans for the thoughtful storytelling.

“The perfect blank slate.” That’s how @PhillipThomasInteriors describes beige in his latest feature with @VerandaMag.

He explains why beige stays true to its tone instead of shifting alongside other colors, plus shares his go-to pairings in yellow, greige, lime, and pink. Well-earned recognition for Phillip, a great read for anyone who’s underestimated a neutral palette.

Grateful to @ShelbyDeeringWriter for proving beige is anything but boring. Full story at the link in bio.
