a weekend in Ojai🏕️🏞️💕 (but horizontal and with multiple captions this time) →

spent most of our weekend laying on big rocks and swimming in the creek

grill daddies❤️‍🔥

“this tent is the size of a new york apartment” - Josh (who came for the day wearing his “the great indoors” shirt because he doesn’t camp but is now warming up to the idea)

Kyla & I accidentally went on a full on hike exploring down the creek and found some waterfalls (not pictured because we weren’t on our phones all weekend)

also not pictured is the way she hopped from rock to rock barefoot while holding a topo chico seltzer the entire time

designated photographer of the group

“they look like otters” - Chrissy

all I need is a hammock & my kindle. currently 93% of the way through the 8th/last Throne of Glass book🥹😭 been dragging my feet finishing up this series because I’m gonna miss the characters. plz give me some good fiction recs to look forward to (especially ones with bad ass female leads or multidimensional/time travel)

no I’m telling you, we literally just layed on rocks

and here’s a picture of the sky

happy gworl 🥰

idk what to caption this but it’s a blanket, a tattoo and a boob- you get it

someone saw a snake in the water but our designated girl scout said it was friendly so we just kept swimming

the only time I was on my phone all weekend was to clear storage on my digital camera

happy lil lizard on a warm rock

two peas in a pod & the rest of us

a campfire that I didn’t have to tend to because my designated jobs are activities, vibes, and photography. thank you Brandy, Kyla, and Carolyn for your service 🫡

an example of the activities in question. one thing about me is I will always bring the games, lights, and music

what kind of psycho are you? the kind that sits there for 7 minutes perfectly toasting a marshmallow or the kind that burns it straight away? I’m definitely the former and will happily toast one to perfection for you anytime by @stage.wav

in addition to reconnecting with nature and yourself outside the noise of the city and demands of daily life, there’s something very tribal about camping. it feels so gratifying to solve basic problems as a team. whether it’s building shelter, making food or entertaining ourselves without the internet - each problem successfully solved together is a little win we get to celebrate, be proud of, and feel connected through🌱💕 by @stage.wav
