Broadway experience. Personal training. A community that lifts each other up.

What makes Ohio Northern University’s Musical Theatre program stand out? We went to Ada to find out!

We sit down with Tim, Head of Musical Theatre, and students Marlie and Vivian to talk auditions, productions, Broadway guest artists, professional opportunities, and what makes ONU feel like more than just a college program.

From the classroom to the stage, these students are building their craft, challenging themselves, and finding their place in the theatre world.

Inside Ohio Northern University’s Musical Theatre Program | A Tour with Tim McGarrigal

Come inside Ohio Northern University for a behind-the-scenes look at what life is really like for students in ONU’s Musical Theatre program.

We joined Tim McGarrigal, Head of Musical Theatre at Ohio Northern University, for a walking tour of the facilities and a look at the spaces where students learn, rehearse, perform, and create.

Along the way, we visit the theatres, rehearsal spaces, and technical theatre workshop, and even step inside a symposium happening during our visit. Tim also talks about the opportunities ONU provides its students every week and how the program combines performance, education, technical experience, and real-world preparation.

It’s more than a tour of the building. It’s a look at the environment ONU has created for the next generation of theatre artists.

If you’re a student considering musical theatre or theatre in college, or you simply want to see what goes on behind the scenes at Ohio Northern University, come take the tour with us. taken in Ohio Northern University by @stagedoorpodcast

Samantha Saltzman on Broadway, The Bodyguard & Starting a National Tour in Toledo

https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/stage-door-a-theatre-podcast-hosted-by-two-average/id1573865415?i=1000792732605

We’re talking with director Samantha “Sami” Saltzman, and her path to directing is anything but boring.

Sami takes us back to figuring out that performing wasn’t quite the right fit, changing majors more times than she can remember, moving to New York, juggling day jobs, internships and assistant gigs, and doing whatever it took to get into the room and learn. taken in The Stranahan by @stagedoorpodcast

Will you just LOOK at this!!⁣
⁣
Evergreen High School grad Emma Majewski is officially on her FIRST NATIONAL TOUR, playing Emily Elizabeth in Clifford the Big Red Dog with TheatreWorks USA!⁣
⁣
Emma was the very first high school student we ever had on Stage Door. Since then, she graduated from Molloy University/CAP21, Class of 2026, and now she’s kind of a big deal.⁣
⁣
We couldn’t be happier for her, and we can’t think of anyone better to bring Emily Elizabeth to life.⁣
⁣
Congratulations, Emma! We’ll be cheering you on from back home!⁣
