Come along for the ride as I tackle a custom travel solution for @philippahanna. After years of travelling the world with a heavy White Falcon flight case, it was time to create something lighter, safer, and built for life on the road.

With help from the brilliant team at @peli_uk, we found the perfect fit - the 1745 case for Philippa’s new @martinguitar. In this reel, you’ll see how I mapped out the guitar shape using cocktail sticks, a white chalk pencil, and a Stanley knife to create a clean custom foam insert from scratch. by @stageflowuk

STAGEFLOW #tourhack

In this video, I’m showing the setup I use to mount my @behringer P1 IEM pack to a @gravity_stands Traveller 3D Arm Clamp attached to my drum stool.

It keeps the pack off your body, so there’s no awkward clipping it to your belt or digging around for pockets in the dark before a show. It’s a much cleaner, more comfortable setup — especially during quick changeovers and hectic stage prep.

With everything mounted to the stool, all you need to do is sit down and plug your in-ears straight into the pack — or into an extension cable if you’re using one. Simple, fast, and reliable every night.

And if you’re lucky enough to have your own drum tech (like me), they can have everything plugged in and ready to go before you even sit down.

Back in March I was hired in to build a kit from scratch. Thanks for call @samshocking & @benlalgeemusic

Had to think cleverly how to use @mrgrantuk own hardware due to the kit being used for another band. In this situation I find that keeping to the drummers own snare and cymbal stands is a win. You keep all the positions as they were set during rehearsals.

So when @gabrielleuk and band were done with the set, I literally take away all stands that belonged to Jesse, snares and cymbals back in cases and then the next drummer brings on their gear. Simple. Hardest part is, you have to move quickly during change over. Hope this is helpful!

Had the pleasure of jumping on drum with @philippahanna at @springharvest Minehead. For worship I usually tend to go with 1 rack and 2 floor toms. But felt having punchy sound cutting through the mix with Tom tuned high. New @remopercussion emperor coated heads for the toms, Emperor X for the main snare. Good old @bigfatsnaredrum for the gushy deep sound on the 2nd snare.

For this job I was called up to drive a van down to London to jump in on the end of a @perrieedwards band rehearsal - job was to mark up, take pictures, pack up the gear and send back up north for storing, ahead of their show in Newcastle (I believe).
