The debate over fan numbering keeps making headlines and is a never ending discussion within #fanculture. This issue causes major problems and public debates for concerts of both mid-sized and international artists like #billieeilish. Event organizers and ticket providers have long been trying to find solutions to the associated problems and identify new approaches. Should fan numbering only be officially permitted, or should it still be partially organized by the fans themselves?

How many times have we been frustrated that we couldn’t tell someone how we really felt?
In all sorts of different situations.

Not because we didn’t feel anything, but because it was incredibly hard to find the right words to express it.

Men, in particular, are often criticized for this lack of emotional communication.

“Why can’t he just say how he’s feeling?”

If you search on TikTok:

“Why do men find it hard to talk about feelings?”

you could probably scroll for hours.

And the same reasons keep coming up:

➡️the image of the “strong man”

➡️fear of losing control

➡️societal role models

➡️the worry of appearing vulnerable

But perhaps strength doesn’t lie in suppressing feelings.

Perhaps it lies instead in honestly expressing what’s going on inside.

❗️Talking about feelings doesn’t mean weakness.

And certainly not a loss of control❗️

And as for the people who would judge you for it: you probably wouldn’t want to have a close relationship with them anyway :)

Many of you are probably reading this and thinking: Yeah, I already knew that. I always stick to that.

And those of you who thought that are probably women or members of the LGBTQ+ community.
With this post, I want to remind everyone again of all the things we have to keep in mind just to party at night and how dangerous it actually is every single time.

Still, we won’t let that intimidate us!

Everyone talks about life on tour.
Almost no one talks about what happens after.

The end of a tour doesn’t just mean reset.
It can also mean a sudden emotional drop.

The silence can hit harder than the noise ever did.
Going from constant movement, energy and connection to stillness can feel harder than expected.

Taking care of that transition matters.

At a club, a concert, a party, or a festival, it’s sometimes not that easy to approach someone who doesn’t seem to be doing well.

💭Could I say something wrong?🤷🏽‍♀️

💭Might it come across as a little weird if I just go up to the person right now?🤔

💭What if he or she just gets annoyed with me and brushes me off?😬

So that in the future we all spend less time worrying about whether we might do something wrong and instead just go over and take action, here are a few questions to help start the conversation.

❗️Important: in a situation like this, you can’t do anything wrong.

If the person is actually fine and everything is okay, they’ll definitely appreciate it much more that you noticed them and spoke to them🤍

Es ist unglaublich wichtig auf diese Themen in der Musikbranche aufmerksam zu machen, zu sensibilisieren und gegen jegliche Form von Diskriminierung vorzugehen.

Wir müssen ein rücksichtsvolles Miteinander herstellen, in dem sich JEDE Person wohl und sicher fühlen kann.

Bei Veranstaltungen muss hingeschaut und Verantwortung übernommen werden, wenn Überforderung, Gewalt oder Diskriminierung passiert.

Diskriminierung und Gewalt sind keine Einzelfälle, sondern Bestandteil und Ergebnis gesellschaftlicher Machtstrukturen.
