WORKSHOP DI MONOTIPO SPERIMENTALE 🧻

Un pomeriggio dedicato alla stampa artigianale economica e diy.

Durante il workshop esploreremo la tecnica del monotipo, utilizzando acetati, materiali da sagomare texturati e diversi elementi per creare superfici, tracce e composizioni.

Attraverso prove, sovrapposizioni e giochi di texture, ogni partecipante realizzerà la stampa sperimentale di un pupazzo costruito secondo la propria sensibilità e immaginazione.

Non è richiesta alcuna esperienza precedente: il laboratorio è aperto a chiunque abbia voglia di giocare e scoprire il linguaggio della stampa.

Al termine dell'incontro, ciascun partecipante porterà a casa la propria stampa originale.

In today’s world, where digital art and instant gratification often dominate the landscape, IMPRESSIONI stands as a vibrant counterpoint, celebrating the timeless art of printmaking.
This exhibition defies confinement. It sprawls across themes, styles, and emotions. 44 printmaking students and alumni from the Rome University of Fine Arts (RUFA) have woven a tapestry of creativity. Each thread represents an individual exploration, a leap into uncharted territory.

An intriguing historical fact about etching!🎨
It was associated with the clandestine dissemination of ideas and political satire during times of censorship. In the 18th century, artists such as Francisco Goya used etching as a medium to express dissent and critique the social and political injustices of their time. Goya’s series of etchings titled “Los Caprichos” (The Caprices) and “Los Desastres de la Guerra” (The Disasters of War) are powerful examples of this.

Etching allowed artists to create intricate and detailed images that could be reproduced in multiple copies, making it an effective means of spreading subversive messages while evading censorship. The relative accessibility and anonymity of etching compared to other art forms made it a preferred medium for political commentary and social critique, highlighting the role of printmaking in shaping public opinion and challenging authority throughout history.
