There is only one person we need to compete with....The one you see in the mirror! YOU!
Fitness is not about comparing ourselves to many others out there. Social media can totally overwhelm us by distracting us from our own goals of focusing on our own uniqueness, our own capabilities & strengths. Celebrate the ability you have to be blessed to do strength training or whatever it is you can do. This wee little girl is so precious. She often resembles a little bat.🦇 Haha...Loves snuggling up in her "princess bed" Girls are most definitely more "fragile" than the boys. She let's me know to handle her more gently or she will wince like I've damaged her. 😆😆😅🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ My little comforters, & sanity are my little fur kids. Adopting them from an spca was the best decision I ever made.😍 Saving more lives of the most needy ones out there matters more than ever to me. Sony gorgeous little ones needing a lifeline out there. Sometimes, the only thing we can do to alleviate stress (mine being gym) also presents more challenges along the way. Living in an aging body that protests to certain exercises with rewards of new aches & pains never felt before makes those stress relievers more challenging than ever.🫣 Nothing is easy as our bodies age. The reality?..
What we see on the outside isn't always what we feel on the inside.
My relationship with muscle aches & pain remedies seem more my necessity than ever before. Most importantly, is to always focus more on the realistic goals we want to achieve. 💯💪🙏🏼
Gaining more strength by resistance training is more important to me now, than building the most muscular body some at my age pursue.
My journey is different in this last chapter of my life.
My goals..different..
My mindset in this chapter.. focused more on longivity by having all the necessary yearly blood tests, pap smears & skin appointments taken care of too.😉💯🙏🏼
Never neglect your health. Luckily, all my tests came back, showing I'm in top health. Exellent cholesterol.. kidney liver, etc, all great. Things can change in a flash. Never stop pursuing the things that keep you stronger mentally & physically. As we age it is not about building the best bodies..it is about building the strength we need to do the tasks we need to do with more agility and less body aches. As a gran, of two precious little souls...I aim to be as agile as I can be to make many more beautiful, healthy memories, to forever treasure. Strength is not just about mindset.
