Donington Park Race Report 🏁 A really positive weekend at Donington and great to be back on the podium! Qualifying went smoothly with no major dramas. I qualified P4 for both Race 1 and Race 3, based on my fastest and second-fastest lap times, so I was really happy with that and knew we had the pace to fight at the front. Race 1 – P1 🏆 An exciting race from the start. I made a move on the opening lap to get myself into P2, then set about chasing Sean down. By around mid-race I managed to make the move for the lead and from there brought it home to take my second Civic Cup win. Race 2 – P8 With the reverse top-ten grid I started P10, carrying 40kg of success ballast from the Race 1 win. I made a few moves in the opening laps to get up to P8, but the extra weight really started to hammer the car and the tyres as the race went on. A small mistake at Coppice sent me wide and cost me three places. After some post-race penalties were applied, I was eventually classified P8. Race 3 – P2 🥈 Starting P4, I made good progress early on and got myself up into P2. Hewlett managed to get past around mid-race and I crossed the line P3 on the road. Following some post-race judicial decisions, we were promoted to P2. Overall, a really strong weekend with P1, P8 and P2, and most importantly a return to the podium and another good haul of championship points. We leave Donington joint 3rd in the championship standings, with everything still to play for heading into the final two rounds. Massive thanks as always to @motionmotorsport_ltd for all their hard work throughout the weekend and for keeping the car exactly where we needed it. Now for a much-needed break from racing before we head to Oulton Park in early October. 👊🏁 by @stancedukco

THRUXTON RACE REPORT 🏁 Having never raced at Thruxton before, there was a lot to learn heading into the weekend. With no official testing available, we managed to get a track day in the week before, which helped us get up to speed around one of the fastest circuits in the UK. The car was faultless until qualifying when it decided to throw a few issues our way. We lost power steering, which is not much fun around a high-speed track like Thruxton. After replacing a fuse a couple of times, the fault eventually blew the fuel pump fuse, bringing our session to an early end. We only managed enough laps to qualify P16 for Race 1 and P14 for Race 3. The team worked hard to track down the wiring fault and got me back out for Race 1. Starting further back than we’d hoped, we made good progress through the field to finish P7. Race 2 was the reverse top-ten grid, putting us on the second row in P4. After a hectic and action-packed race, we managed to secure our first win in the series, which was a fantastic result for everyone involved. Race 3 brought rain. We gambled on a dry setup, hoping conditions would improve, but the rain stayed. The car was a bit wild in the wet, making it difficult to move forward, and we came home in P12. It could have been a smoother weekend, but considering the issues we faced, coming away with a win and strong points isn’t too bad at all. Dave and Don both had a smashing weekend and Joe made good progress. A huge thank you to the @motionmotorsport_ltd team for all their hard work and effort getting the car turned around after qualifying. On to Pembrey next month. by @stancedukco

A strong weekend at Brands Hatch working closely with @motionmotorsport_ltd and the team to make sure we were at the sharp end. Qualifying put us in a solid position with P4 for Race 1 and P3 for Race 3, setting us up well for the weekend. With the reverse grid in play, we started P7 for Race 2. Race 1 brought home P4, followed by P5 in Race 2. We saved the best until last in Race 3, bringing it home in P3 and securing our first podium in the series. Congrats to @sparkydave21 and @dondegraaff on their opening weekend with Dave getting a P2 in race 2 and Don winning the Paul winfield trophy. A big step forward and plenty to build on — Thruxton next. #motionmotorsport #stanceduk #trispec #revvibikes #civiccup by @stancedukco
