@moldmoldmold work is one of the most ineteresting things happening in this hobby of late. An excellent paintjob and converting skills demonstration, resulting in masterful coloured forms, which well deserve a detained looking at.

But most important, every page of this book is a reminder of what this is all about: a mostly visual experience of imagining and creating worlds. Better if thinking out of the box. One can only hope it encourages more people to do so. by @standingforms

Marauder icon

The inspiration for this model was an illustration by John Blanche, specifically the one appearing on page 108 of WHFB 3rd edition rulebook. There is a central figure in this image, surrounded by greenskins, holding an standart ended in what it looks like a spreaded out face skin from an orc. The idea was to transmit the vibe from that painting by doing something similar to that figure, instead of making an identical copy.

The model I´ve used for that purpose was this iconic wood elf standart bearer sculpted by Gary Morley for a late-nineties scouts range. There is also a drawing by Wayne England which was a palpable reference for the standart. Sure many of you have recognidsed it instantly. by @standingforms
