Anime Insider will be the only “A.I” I’ll ever acknowledge. Issue 27 shared the best of 2005. Neon Genesis Evangelion, Naruto, Paradise Kiss, Samurai Champloo this had it all. What a year for anime/manga and otaku community. 20 years later and I still get the same feeling when I look at these. #animeinsider #anime #physicalmedia #naruto #magazines by @standstampede

Random Selection Part 5: CONAN issue 14 by Dark Horse Comics. Written by Kurt Busiek and artworks by Nord, Yaeates and Mandrake. Thoth-Amon makes his first move against Conan and co in this issue. The first time I ever came across Conan was the Xbox 360 video game that launched in 2007. I played that demo over and over and soon learned about the comics that came first. Felt like this kind of comic just needed some Deftones behind it. 🔥 #Conan #comiccollector #comicbooks #darkhorsecomics #deftones by @standstampede

This action packed comic is the conclusion of the “Titans of Tomorrow” run. Random Selection Part 3: Star Wars General Grievous Issue 1 by Dark Horse Comics. Written by Chuck Dixon and the art by Rick Leonardi. I remember being amazed as a kid when I first found out Star Wars had comics. Anime Insider Magazine issue 25 (2005). Back when the topic was niche these magazines served as a source to promote anime, manga and video games. Inuyasha, Gunsword, Ghost in the shell, Blood+, Final Fantasy you name it; they had it. The physical media era was just on another level oozing creativity and insight. AI could never. #Animeinsider #magazine #physicalmedia #manga #anime by @standstampede

Random selection part 1: The Walking Dead issue 01 by Robert Kirkman (Art by Tony Moore) It’s actually its 23rd anniversary releasing back in October 8th 2003. Crazy how the series may still be continuing today as Andrew Lincoln has expressed he would return to play Rick Grimes. #comiccollector #comicbooks #thewalkingdead #comicbookcollection #explorepage by @standstampede

They hold even hold nights where authors and artists all get together to present and bounce ideas together. Check them out if you are ever in the area! @batcitycomicbooks

Imagine losing years of what could’ve been experience because things got hard. Because you constantly compared your work to those that are leagues ahead of you. It’s never too late to pursue your dream, no matter how crazy it is.. only you have to understand it. I don’t have the best artwork, or the best equipment. I never went to school for art/drawing. I don’t even know how to get your own manga published. All I know is that I want to finish and share this piece I hid from for 10+ years all because other people are better than me. It’ll be rough and amateur when I do but it can always get better along the journey. I hope you can push through whatever self doubt you carry as well. 🙏🏾 #mangaka #drawing #anime #manga #artist by @standstampede
