Get @reshare_app • @functionalpatterns Everyone knows that if you want to become more athletic, you study the greats in motion. Not what they lift in the weight room. Notice how their muscles contract when they sprint, how their ribcage rotates when they throw, how their hips sequence when they change direction. The strength is in the coordination, not in how much weight is on the bar. If the training you do in the gym doesn’t resemble the mechanics you rely on in your sport, then you’re building strength that doesn’t transfer. You’re getting “stronger”, sure, but not more useful. The most effective way to build general strength is to train like a human first: standing, walking, running, and throwing. These are the patterns that shape every athletic expression. This is the foundation nearly every program overlooks, and exactly what we specialize in refining. Because before you’re an athlete, you’re a human. And if the human system is off, the athlete never fully shows up. So ask yourself, are you training to look strong, or are you training to move strong? #functionalpatterns #fpisthestandard #projectfunction #functionaltraining #biomechanics #sprinting #posture #fascia #topuria #serenawilliams #usainbolt by @stanislav_traykov
Functional Patterns 👇 Posted @withregram • @functionalpatterns The FP First 4 If you want the magic bullet to fitness it all comes down to moving impeccably as it relates to the FP First 4 - Standing, Running, Walking and Throwing. We don’t believe there should be a trade off between strength and joint function. It’s why we take the approach we do and load joints that correspond to these fundamental movements. It’s all a product of understanding our human code. If you master these fundamentals you get to have both rehab and performance training at the same time. #functionalpatterns #fpisthestandard #FPfirst4 by @stanislav_traykov

@functionalpatterns Did it once again! The meanest, baddest @theleverking proving once again there’s no one better! We are extremely proud of ours and her accomplishments! And grateful for the knowledge! #fpisthestandard #functionalpatterns #functionalpatternsresults by @stanislav_traykov
Get @reshare_app • @theleverking The primary emphasis in this setup is on the adductor complex, but the entire anterior oblique sling (AOS) is under significant tension and load transfer. The outward femoral rotation drives gluteus maximus and deep rotator recruitment, while also transmitting tensile forces through the fascial continuities linking the pelvic floor, adductors, and contralateral latissimus dorsi. @theleverageking was engineered to enhance both neuromuscular and fascial system engagement by placing the lower body in a mechanically disadvantaged position that amplifies strain distribution through myofascial lines. This stimulates higher motor unit recruitment and increases tensioning and recoil capacity within the fascial matrix, improving elastic energy storage and release. The deliberate destabilization forces the body to organize movement through more efficient kinetic sequencing, reinforcing mechanotransduction across fascial planes. Expect rapid fatigue due to high recruitment density and sustained fascial tension, producing a unique loading profile that enhances both neuromuscular control and fascial resilience. #functionalpatterns #projectfunction by @stanislav_traykov
Posted @withregram • @theleverking Deadlifts excessively compress the spine that’s meant to move when you sprint. It’s why modern day living combined with exercises like the deadlift are a recipe for pain and degeneration. #functionalpatterns #fpisthestandard #projectfunction by @stanislav_traykov
@functionalpatterns @theleverking Grateful to be part of the movement. Turning the fitness industry the right direction. Helping people is all about. Let’s get it! 🫡 #functionalpatterns #fpisthestandard #projectfunction #fpresults by @stanislav_traykov
Posted @withregram • @functionalpatterns It’s great to see @kingjames embracing minimalist footwear, but it’s sad how many people stop there. Some take it further with paleo or animal-based nutrition. But again, most stop there. We’ve found that taking it several notches beyond diet and footwear unlocks an amazing quality of life. It starts with actually thinking about what it means to be human in this reality. Your physical body is how you interact with your environment and your health is directly tied to your biological blueprint to move in a certain way. LeBron doesn’t need bigger deadlifts. He needs to continue improving his already legendary mechanics. When your career depends on sprinting, cutting, and throwing, stacking plates on a bar does little to extend your performance window. Deadlifts load the spine more than they condition the body for the FP First 4: standing, walking, running, and throwing. It’s great to wear minimalist shoes and eat ancestrally. And it gets even better when you use your gym time to improve how you move as a human. This is why we get results with people of all shapes, sizes, ages, and athletic levels, even those with various disorders. We take it one step further than footwear and food: we address your biological movement blueprint. That’s what human training is about. #functionalpatterns #lebronjames #humanmovement #functionaltraining #biomechanics #fascia by @stanislav_traykov
Posted @withregram • @theleverking All props to Carla here for doing the work. She tried the conventional route and they gave up on her, but she gave it another shot following a better system and made it happen. POWERFUL! Yo @adammeakins, I’m going to keep tagging you on posts like these and make you and the rest of the rehab dorks look bad. We have record numbers of people coming to FP because the things you guys use to “help” people are outdated and broken. Also, get off the gear, bro. Let’s see what you really look like and how effective you function when the gear isn’t there to prop you up. Lastly, I want to see just one case where you helped someone with this exact condition at this age. Show us all you’re on the level. I know you aren’t, because you’re stuck following “evidence-based protocols” that aren’t long-term 99.9 percent of the time. You use approaches meant to help people with acute issues that, long-term, have counter-indications scientists haven’t tested for. You picked the fight, and this time you can’t deflect with nonsense. It’s time to buck up and show people whether you’re actually helping anyone, or whether you’re just the old guard trying to perpetuate the status quo that got humanity to this point of insanity. Posted @withregram • @theleverking Maintaining your body’s viscoelasticity, which means your tissues can stretch and recoil smoothly, is essential as you age. When your fascia dries out, it stiffens and loses its ability to absorb impact, which raises your risk of chronic pain, limited movement and lingering injuries. It works like an internal suspension system. If it dries up and locks tight, every step and twist starts grinding your joints and nerves. Building habits and training methods that keep your fascia hydrated and elastic is critical if you want to stay resilient and pain free as you get older. #functionalpatterns #projectfunction by @stanislav_traykov
Posted @withregram • @theleverking It’s not every day royalty steps into your space to do work. @marksmellybell from @mbpowerproject is the mayor of this industry. I’m looking forward to helping him however I can to make him even greater than he already is. I’ve been watching him make progress on his movement over the years, and doing great. Nothing but respect. More content to come. Thanks for stopping by, Mark—it was an honor having you. #functionalpatterns #projectfunction by @stanislav_traykov
Posted @withregram • @functionalpatterns Happy International Women’s Day to all the FP doers out there! We know there are many more, but here’s a look at a few women in Functional Patterns who are breaking the stereotype of flimsy, weak and stretchy movement. They’re not just strong—they’re efficient, powerful, and built for real-world function. This isn’t about aesthetics or chasing trends. It’s about moving better, feeling better, and performing at a level that actually matters. Shoutout to the women putting in the work and leading by example. The future of movement is here. #functionalpatterns #fpisthestandard #projectfunction #internationalwomensday #womenempowerment by @stanislav_traykov
