Hands on experience is the best, but until that day comes around most of us have learned another way. I’ve been fortunate enough to have been able to go to school for certain things like welding, wiring, and CADD. School gets you very familiar with the basics. Most of your knowledge comes from talking to or watching people that have done what you want to do. YouTube has been a big help, but having a friend or boss that can show you how to do things is the best way in my opinion. It’s even better if they can explain why it’s done a certain way!

Anyways, the rearend is in my car, but the battery won’t hold a charge 🙃 it’s always something. by @stanktrooper

Since the audio on my original no longer works, figured I’d repost it.

Performance mods:
5 liter stroker kit, dished pistons, +4lb lower pulley, 2.8 upper pulley, pulley tensioner kit, stainless works long tubes, custom 3” exhaust with Borla ProXS mufflers, division x fuel hat with twin aeromotive fuel pumps, 80lb injectors, ford performance 3.73 gears, hardened moser axles, 26 spline output shaft, Cosmis wheels, and probably a few other things I’m forgetting lol by @stanktrooper

When you and your boys show up to a car show, but the one is late because he was up all night hog hunting lol. Welcome to Georgia!
•
@wolfjflywheel55 has the blue 3rd gen Camaro… he has done an absolutely insane amount of work to that car! Detroit Speed suspension, a freshly built 6.0 LS, and a procharger! Not to mention he did all the custom piping for the intake and intercooler AND he did a custom exhaust! Making around 700hp on low boost! To see more of his work checkout @_southernperformance_
•
@m_slayton_svt has the red GT500 and has had a lot of work done to it! Big boy VMP supercharger and a fuel system that handle E85 and a ton of power. Plus an Exhaust that sounds amazing 🤌🏼 Most of this was done at @_southernperformance_ as well.
•
@stanktrooper (me) has the silver Mustang GT. That’s right, it’s just a GT, but I’ve swapped everything from the Cobras that I could get my hands on; engine, transmission, supercharger, bumpers, side skirts, and a few little things. I built a custom 3” exhaust with stainless works long tubes and I love hearing it in videos ❤️ I knew how to do a lot of this myself, but @_southernperformance_ definitely filled in the gaps where my knowledge ended. Thankful to have a friend dedicated to knowing every detail 🙌🏼

Story time 📖

I started a new job earlier this year. I left the racing industry so I could design more. I took on a new job as a Mechanical Designer at a large exhibit house in Atlanta. Now I mostly help design trade show exhibits for big names like Mercedes, AMG, and a bunch of other really cool companies.
•
Earlier this year I was handed a few sections of this Mercedes Benz showroom in Beverly Hills. I modeled most of the upstairs (which was appointment only access) but I also modeled the mirror columns at the bottom of the stairs and the platform underneath the stairs with the monitor.
•
The painted seats on the wall were amazing. I wasn’t apart of that project but I was able to watch the progress on it.
•
When my wife and I went to California a month ago we went and saw it in person. It looks way different in real life than on my laptop lol. Seeing what I designed in person was an amazing experience and I can’t wait to share other cool projects I’ve been apart of! by @stanktrooper

Soooo many beautiful colored Porsches!!! The first two are my favorite and when I finally get one, I’ll have it in one of those two colors! That’s a promise 🤝
•
There were so many people there it was difficult to get a picture of just a car, but that’s how I like it. The cars are meant to be enjoyed and seen. I watched another photographer get visibly upset that people were standing in front of a car talking about it. He then asked them to get out of his way. Yes I want a good picture of the car, but let people enjoy it! Don’t ruin someone else’s experience over a picture. Capture people getting excited over these works of art! Record the enjoyment and the interest of these machines. That is what keeps it going and people interested. by @stanktrooper

Thoroughly enjoyed the show! So much automotive history and culture there! RWB Porsches, safari 911s, Guntherworks, Singer, and a lot of other big names/cars that have inspired new builds and how a car can evolve over the years.
•
More shots to come! I will definitely be going to another one if given the opportunity!

@elli86 and I went to see a bunch of really cool Porsches! We even bumped into one of our good friends @tompkinsjr who actually had a lot of fun facts about these older Porsches!
•
Sooo many beautiful cars in sooo many different colors! Porsche might have one of the most vast factory color palettes I’ve seen. One day I’ll have one of my own 🙏🏼 by @stanktrooper

🏆 First time winning at a car show 🏆

Won Top 35 at Cars on Broad St in Rome, GA over the weekend. Before you even ask, yes there were more than 35 cars there! lol
•
The thing is, I almost didn’t make it 🙃 I was behind a big truck and the speed limit just lowered so I was a little closer than I should have been… a wild ratchet strap appeared and I couldn’t get out of the way 😱 I hit it at 40mph. I didn’t hit the brakes because I didn’t want the nose to dip down into it, which might have saved the bumper and new radiator. This wasn’t a little ratchet strap, it was a big one off a semi or something. It threw the car up in the air, I flew for a minute. I immediately pulled over, cursed a lot, and got out to look under the car. No oil, no coolant, and no leaks, but man there was a huge dent in my K member. Thankful I kept the stock k member, because that may have saved my oil pan and my weekend!
•
Not only did I win Top 35 but everyone of my friends won too! We all spend way to much on our cars lol by @stanktrooper

Longest radiator install 🏆
•
Only 6ish months to swap the radiator, thermostat, and expansion tanks lol. I did clean up some wiring while I was in there… and the power steering reservoir lol.
•
Car show this weekend 🙌🏼 cannot wait!!! by @stanktrooper

She’s alive!!!
•
I had some overheating issues earlier this year so I bought a big boy SVE 3 row radiator from @latemodelresto and a 160° thermostat and a 2 in 1 overflow tank from @cobrafill04
•
It took 6 months to swap 🤦🏻‍♂️ mostly because I’ve been working 60 hours a week and making excuses lol. But today… TODAY I buttoned everything up, burped the coolant system, and the temp never got above 197°
•
I’ll be test driving it soon and hopefully 🙏🏼🤞🏼 there’s no issues. It’s been too long since I’ve driven this beautiful car 😍 by @stanktrooper

Vacation Part 2

How I know @elli86 loves me… she’s easily convinced to go look at cars with me 😍 She even convinced her amazing friends to join us! #petersenmuseum

What an amazing trip! We saw the beach, cool cars, and wonderful friends! @yliimeee and @yaboyjf were a lot of fun to hang out with! Thank you for spending your weekend with us and showing us around! We shouldn’t wait 2 years to hangout again lol
•
I even got to see my man @rickersonrocket 🙌🏼 I haven’t seen him since I got out of the USAF in 2018 and we picked up right where we left off. I haven’t had too many friends like that! Glad he’s doing well for himself and we shouldn’t let it be sooo long in between visits!

Anyways here’s more beautiful cars lol by @stanktrooper
