Very pleased to announce that my latest album Natural Stupidity is finally ready to be heard. Out on all streaming platforms, bandcamp and also cassette via the lovely people at @bete_musique.

Recorded over the winter of 2022 during lockdown and mixed in Ottawa over the next year with my dear friend Sean Cooke, this is easily my most personal and accessible album I've made to date. Everyone involved in the production to the design have been close friends and artists I admire, and quite frankly I'm absolutely elated with how everything has turned out.

Thursday July 11th I'll be playing Midfield @midfield_mtl and will have copies of the cassette for sale. It'd be lovely to see some of you folks out.

John Wiese is a pillar of the experimental and noise underground, known for pushing sonic extremes through projects like Sissy Spacek and his long-running label, Helicopter. Over the years, he’s collaborated with the likes of Merzbow, Robert Turman, GX Jupitter-Larsen, MSBR, and many others. On June 2nd, he brings a rare solo performance to Montreal.

Ottawa, I will be inside you this weekend playing this lovely lil event at St Albans church on Saturday. I'm playing at 8:45pm and should be hanging around the church most of the day. It would absolutely lovely to see some friendly faces, so please come join me for some droning ruckus. by @stanleykindly

Sometime back in 2015 I played what would probably go down as my most remembered performance. A blender, a bag of fish, a dead squirrel and a very drunk me took the stage and we together made quite the fucking gross out. This show got me permanently banned from Bar Pub Saint Denis and I have no regrets.
Digging through an old hard drive I found this video that I had completely forgotten about (thank you @kierinsta for the footage). Unfortunately this clip ends right before it gets truly gruesome, but you can definitely cringe at me sticking my hand deep into a running blender, or cringe knowing that the beer and fish gut mix is about to completely cover my body.
If anybody else who attended this show has any videos, I'd be absolutely grateful for you to pass em on to me.
