Jesus takes Peter, James, and John up a mountain, where He is transfigured before them. His face shines like the sun and His clothes become dazzling white. Moses and Elijah appear beside Him, and a voice from heaven says, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to him.”

The Transfiguration reminds us that Jesus is truly the Son of God and gives us hope of His glory. by @stannesofthesunset

Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul

Today, the Church celebrates two pillars of our faith, St. Peter, the humble fisherman chosen by Christ to shepherd His Church, and St. Paul, the fearless apostle who brought the Gospel to the nations.

Though different in personality and vocation, both gave everything for Christ, remaining faithful even unto martyrdom. Their witness reminds us that holiness is not about perfection, but about saying “yes” to God’s call with courage, humility, and perseverance.

You are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my Church.”
— Matthew 16:18

On this solemnity, let us pray:
St. Peter,strengthen our faith.
St. Paul, inspire our zeal for the Gospel.
May we, too, become faithful witnesses of Christ in our homes, workplaces, and communities.

Saints Peter and Paul, pray for us. ✝️ by @stannesofthesunset

Happy Father’s Day to all fathers, grandfathers, godfathers, and father figures.

Today we thank God for your love, sacrifice, guidance, and faith. May the example of St. Joseph inspire all fathers to lead their families with courage, humility, and trust in God.

“St. Joseph, pray for all fathers and protect their families.”

In the midst of Advent, we pause to rejoice. Even as we wait, joy is already present—rooted not in circumstances, but in the promise of Christ who comes to dwell among us. May this week renew our hearts with quiet gratitude and hopeful anticipation. 🤍🕯️ by @stannesofthesunset
