From Room 201, @soil_nihonbashi
A tonkatsu sign across the street, and a line forming under the midday sun.

When I traveled to Paris, the sight of a real bistro sign made my heart leap.
Maybe, for someone, this sign does the same.

@portside_inn_hakodate and @homm_hakodate are a 10-minute walk apart. Right in the middle is a scenic slope — Hachimanzaka. We like to stop here for a moment, where the road lines up perfectly with the port.

This port once hummed with boats and trade. Now, between the old town and the water, there's a patch of grass that belongs to no one. People find it anyway.
