New on the blog! ✨

@starabilityfdn is thrilled to announce the launch of its Home Collection, a new upscale resale store located at 470 9th Street N. in the @naplesdesigndistrict. The new store opens to the public on Friday, Nov. 8, with regular store hours from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, and closed Sunday and Monday.

STARability recently relocated its popular resale store to an expanded location, allowing the organization to showcase a wider range of stunning products across a variety of price points. Curated by top designers, the new Home Collection features an array of products – from luxurious furniture to statement décor. Best of all, every purchase supports the STARability and its programs to empower people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

“We are excited to share our new Home Collection with the community,” said Karen Govern, chief executive officer at STARability. “Thanks to the expertise of designer Monica Lukas of Monica Lukas Design, we’ve created a warm, welcoming space filled with stylish, high-quality furniture and décor to enhance any home. Beyond In addition to offering beautiful design, the Home Collection provides valuable vocational training and employment opportunities for our STAR participants.

Two well-known local professionals have put their stamp on the store – interior designer Lisa Kahn of Lisa Kahn Designs and luxury retailer Anne Fleming, formerly of Waterside Shops. Together, they bring their extensive experience to support this flourishing social enterprise.

The new store not only features an incredible selection of previously loved treasures designs carefully chosen curated for their design style and craftsmanship, but will also offer showcase unique and exclusive creations from artists across the country.

A Chapter Comes to a Close 💙

Today we say goodbye to the STARability Home Collection, but the impact it created will continue for years to come.

To everyone who shopped, donated, volunteered, and believed in this special space, thank you. To the incredible staff who brought the Home Collection to life, from those who helped build it in the beginning to those who carried it through to its final day, your heart and dedication made this space so much more than a store.

Because of this community, the Home Collection became a place of purpose, belonging, and opportunity for our STARs.
