September is Suicide Prevention Month, and I believe in not only raising awareness about it, but also in the conversation about what suicide prevention actually looks like.
•
It’s been almost 4 years since losing my dad to it. My journey with this kind of grief, coupled with the trauma around other life events, health issues and neurodivergence diagnoses… has made for a very difficult last few years. It’s something that I don’t talk a lot about, but my reality has been that I have spent a lot of the last 4 years just trying to make it one day at a time. That’s a long time to exist in survival mode, and the effect it has had on my mind and body is something I can’t “power through” anymore.
•
This is what suicide prevention looks like. It looks like setting aside pride, being vulnerable, and asking for help. And this is me asking for that help. I’m grateful for the tools I’ve accumulated to this point, but certain supports can only help so much for certain people.
•
This is a support that I believe will be life changing for me. However! Unfortunately for me, training a service dog is incredibly intensive and expensive. There’s more details in the GoFundMe link in my bio and I’m so incredibly grateful for all of the different supports I have and will experience through my community ♥️

My titles just upgraded!! I’ve spent the last year working towards being able to officially call myself a Licensed Instructor. This is more than just a title for me- it is the philosophy behind my practice. Everyone always asks me what my favorite service is to do but honestly, it’s never been about the service for me: the education aspect is my favorite part of my job. Collectively, I have 4 years of experience in the classroom with students and education is something that will always be so dear to me. The past few years I have spent using my degree in science, honing my teaching skills, and learning everything I can about esthetics has brought me to my implementation in the treatment room. Being an educator is really about the constant pursuit of knowledge. I believe there is ALWAYS more to learn and it is my job to do that, for my clients. I love staying up to date on current research and understanding new depths of -how- and -why- certain ingredients and treatments work. I’m so proud of the work I have put in and am excited to continue bridging the gap between my clients and their understanding of their own skin and aesthetics journey. by @starfallstudio417

Ahhh! My beautiful spa room is finally done 🥹
If you are one of the many sweeties who have asked when you could finally come see me, thank you for being patient 🫶 I have poured my whole entire heart into this room for the past 2.5 months, in between kiddos and appointments and getting sick and working my other job. It’s been a LOT (starting a business from the ground up is not for the weak lol). BUT it’s been soooo worth it. New service alert!! I am sooo excited about this one. If you have met me, you know my passion and my favorite thing about this industry is truly the education portion of it! I LOVE SCIENCE. And seeing someone finally have an “aha! 💡” moment is my absolute favorite.

I’ve been through a LOT of schooling myself and have had the privilege of teaching so many wonderful students. One of the compliments I received the most as a teacher was for my ability to explain hard concepts in a way that finally made sense to them and piqued their interest in a topic that had previously been overwhelming. As someone who is neurodivergent, the learning process is something that I believe should always be fun and never overwhelming.

At the end of the day, everything we do to the skin SHOULD be science- based. I don’t believe in doing anything without knowing why I’m doing it and I am excited to help connect those dots for others.
