“I’ve been working on a lot of music. I know I said I was going to go on tour this year and I was gonna drop a lot of music this year but unfortunately… it’s taken a lot longer than I expected. So I may have lied but good news is things are making a move. I think 2027 is the big year.” Starfall @starfallxo shared via Twitch livestream today.

“I shouldn’t give you guys anything… cause I’ve seen what you guys did with Bixby bro. Y’all got some leaks and then when it came out, some of y’all were upset like. That’s not cool. Y’all are not getting nothing from me.” — starfall via Twitch livestream

If “sidekick” isn’t dropping, please put it on alt bro

“I hope you’re not attached to that song. Josh @prodbyjoshwa, Jondren @jxndren and I have worked on that song and we’re like kind of revamping it to fit more of what the project is gonna sound like. I think it’s gonna sound really good. I’m very excited. Don’t get attached to anything that I’ve shown you guys otherwise it’s cooked.

“the song came together piece by piece. Months after Zac Greer played the guitar during a session, I randomly showed the loop to Joshwa, who then made the beat around it. After a couple of drafts, the song was partially complete, leaving only an empty verse. A month later, not knowing how to complete the song, I asked starfall on a whim for a verse and we finished it that same day.” — BIXBY VIA MELODIC MAGAZINE | KELLY CARCIENTE (2024)

Q: What did you write this song about?

This is partially inspired by is… I tried a cigarette for the first time and it was awful. The first time I ever smoked a cigarette, got so sick of the nicotine and I went to the bathroom and I threw up. So I say, ‘throw up another cigarette’. In the song, the whole ‘darling, he lied’ just came from like… who is that down bad to be smoking a cigarette and throwing up and it’s somebody who is like cheated on. The whole ‘are you surprised? Darling, he lied’ thing is like me telling somebody like a girl like obviously he did that and the perspective of some other person. This has never happened to me in real life, by the way. I’ve never actually witnessed this. I was just storytelling…” — Bixby via Twitch livestream
