my 22nd, and a little letter♡

around this time last year, i began my fight with lupus. it definitely has not been an easy journey, but i just wanted to express my gratitude for every single person that has helped me and been there for me within the last year. i am surrounded by very beautiful souls. having a chronic illness can be extremely lonely at times, as empathy really is not enough to understand how those who suffer feel. some days we feel absolutely great but others can be beyond terrible. i appreciate every single person who has been patient with me as i’ve been pushing through. i was so overwhelmed by all the du’aas and messages i received whilst i was in hospital, as i didn’t expect that many people to care. this made me want to push through more, and i must do so for the people i love and care about.

i hope that 22 is kinder to me, but even if not,
وَاللَّهُ خَيْرُ الْمَاكِرِينَ

“And Allah is the best of planners”

please take time to recite this du’aa for me, and may Allah reward you tenfold for your time:

اللَّهُمَّ ربَّ النَّاسِ ، أَذْهِب الْبَأسَ ، واشْفِ ، أَنْتَ الشَّافي لا شِفَاءَ إِلاَّ شِفَاؤُكَ ، شِفاءً لا يُغَادِرُ سقَماً
