Last year, I couldn’t attend Nairalife because of school and I had to watch it on YouTube.

This year, I was determined to be in that room that I went way before the event started.😂

It was a reminisce of those days in secondary school where you get to school very early and you get to breathe in the fresh air and properly rest your brain before others came in.☺️🤍

Was at @zikokomag Nairalife Conference’26 and it was awesome. Amazing lineup of speakers, amazing guests, lovely environment.

According to a press release from UNICEF in 2021, Nigeria ranks second out of 163 students for children most at risk from climate change. For Nigeria to rank second, it means a huge percentage of children are at the risk of climate related issues. This report shows the reality of an average Nigeria child.

Children are the most vulnerable of the human race yet they are the least in consideration when climate adverse policies are made. When people sit in rooms to discuss and take actions that would affect the right of a child, they fail to recognize the need to protect children and to guard their rights.

And this hurts me deeply. As an Environmental law student who has read about the consequences of climate change, write about how it affects humans especially children, I see clearly why there is a need to be a UNICEF young influencer. To be in rooms where I can lend my voice and influence policies that help to protect child's right in the climate space.

Being a UNICEF young influencer will mean more than holding a position, but ensuring that the right of every child is protected, and every child's dignity and right to exist freely is upheld.
