Last week at @mcnpartners incredible night of AUDACIOUS VISIONARIES in NYC during Climate week. When @samvaghar asked me to come and sing and uplift at their 2nd annual event, I didn’t hesitate.

For the past two years, it’s been an honour to be an advisor and part of the youth movement who are doing incredible things. Over 70k university students from around the globe applied to be part of MCN’s philanthropy program, of which 5K students were chosen to participate.

This year’s MCN event theme was about bridging the gap of trust between generations.

I was lucky enough to hear first hand the meaningful work happening around the world from the students. Ya’ll are incredible. I’m humbled and inspired ❤️‍🔥

ONE LOVE y’all. 🙏🏽🌊 taken in NYC by @starley

There is something sacred to this kind of repetition.
This was on my mind today as I injured my neck w 3 bulging discs. I pushed it a little too hard. I was thinking “this pain is nothing, you’ve been through worse, keep pushing”. But wisdom tells me to listen to my body and slow down….. take a breath, train slow and gently rn. I deserve to sit with this feeling, stay curious about what was the actual root cause without an immediate resolve to be stronger and better. If you’re a bit like me then this message is for you. I love you. When you uncover who you truly are, then you know there are no accidents. Everything serves a purpose. Slide to the end to see where I started. That’s me and my lil bro in the gym🫶🏽💪🏽💫🙌🏽 taken in Sydney, Australia by @starley

Whew. It was a long journey to get my first song out into the world. I finally found an amazing team of passionate, skilled and fun to work with brothers. I’m so grateful. I’m a songwriter first, way before I was ever a performing artist. Having a safe environment where I can be myself and share my ideas and emotions as we create is a huge blessing that I will never take for granted. All of you are incredible individuals and I’m honoured to work w each of you.
There’s so much more to the story, I might share later. But for now, I want to thank my team bc I can’t do this alone and wouldn’t want to tbh. That would be so fckn boring haha.

1. @jonofernandezproduction production whiz and collaborator who also mixed the record! Thanks for your beautiful work and attention to detail. You’re the best my bro.
2. @treehouzsounds when Jeremy sent me this riff I was instantly pulled in to write ✍🏽 it was that bloody good. Thank you J!
3. @rickydolzadelli My Godbrother and his studio where I cut the vocals (also wrote many of the upcoming songs). Thank you for showing up, giving your all and putting in work with me.
4. @iamrodcastro Thank you for additional guitars on this. It laced the song with that ear candy in all the right moments. Big love my bro.
5. @alexkyhn that first detailed email you sent me when I was inquiring about bass guitar additions made me recognize your genius. I’m grateful for all your hard work and bringing those live elements to the song that were so needed.
6. Bonus of me and @jonofernandezproduction listening back

Additional thanks to @tdgarnett who helped me make sure my vocals were in the pocket as Ricky accidentally recorded my vocal on an out of time loop. 😂 I didn’t want to record it again bc it was special. @tdgarnett helped me fix it. Thank you my bro. 😎 😅

Cheers fam! To many more. 🙏🏽 taken in Sydney, Australia by @starley

Rain scene 🎬 ended up being used for photos only, but it became one of the most meaningful moments of the entire PEACE shoot for me.

Adam built this incredible rain machine for the scene. As the team was setting up to film… the sky opened up for real. Heavy rain, strong winds, even lightning in the distance. It felt like Mother Nature was stepping into the story with us.
