Two people can be doing exactly the same thing for completely different reasons.

You are both a masterpiece and a work in progress.

You can want more. You can change things. You can work towards something bigger without making who you are right now the problem.

As @starlingsworld says, “Do all the things if you want, but do it knowing you are already the masterpiece.”

What are you working towards because you genuinely want it? by @starlingsworld

What if you’re not bad at it… you’re just at the beginning?

@starlingsworld was told she didn’t have the voice.

And she admits something important: she wasn’t great at the beginning. She shook. She lacked confidence. Her voice was different.

But different didn’t mean wrong.

Sometimes we give up because we think we should already be good at the thing we’re only just learning to become.

You don’t have to be brilliant at the beginning. You just have to keep going.

What if your opinion of you mattered most?

Starling was told she couldn't sing.

Today she's an incredible signed singer-songwriter with millions of streams.

This isn't a story about proving somebody else wrong, it's what happens when you stop letting other peoples opinions decide who you get to be.

The things people say to us can become stories we carry for years.

You're not good enough.
You're not that kind of person.
That's not realistic.
You can't do that.

And eventually we can forget they were somebody else's opinions in the first place.

This week's conversation with the stunning @starlingsworld is about identity, self worth, safety, healing, authenticity, money, outgrowing people and becoming the woman you decide to be.

As Starling says:
“Opinions are fleeting, but identity isn't.”

We're back for series 5 and it's a bloody great one!

Have you lost your voice after trauma?

Maybe you’ve spent so long looking after everyone else that you’re not even sure what YOU want anymore.

Starling’s advice? Start small.

Get a journal. Get quiet. Start listening to your own thoughts again.

Because when life gets loud, your own wants and needs can become whispers.

Your voice is still there.
