Patrick was watching an old western on television when he paused at the shot. Many of you will recognize the coffee pot formation in Sedona. The funny part is where these people are standing is where our timeshare condo now resides. It’s funny to see what this all look like before it got developed.

Thank you to all who added to my birthday joy! I was so spoiled and pampered all day! My husband, siblings, daughter and their families made it just a perfect day! All of your FB greetings warmed my heart. I am a grateful human - and so joyful that I reached Level 70 in this game of life! by @starrcassidy

I’m not sure if it really is Daughter-in-law Day, but I’m going to brag on mine. Melanie Lewis is a beautiful, brilliant, funny, fur-baby-loving phenom! She is blessed to have TWO MILs, and she is truly kind and loving to us both. I am so impressed with her work ethic, her commitment to health, and the fact that she has kept our son alive and out of jail all these years. We love you! by @starrcassidy

Day 5: After a leisurely morning in Pendleton, we decided to push through to Tillamook. I love the drive along the Columbia gorge. To us desert-dwellers, the sheer magnitude of water is fascinating! Trains are very active on both sides of the river. And it was a sunny day, so we caught views of Mt Hood and Mt Ranier! Traffic was pretty bad in Portland, with lots of people heading towards the coast. It’s been a couple of years since we took highway 6 over the mountains, and that road is rough! At one point it threw us into the oncoming lane - thank goodness it was empty. That was a scary moment. We arrived safely in time to settle in at the Blue Heron - they have dozens of boondocking sites! We disconnected the Jeep and had a lovely dinner at the Pacific Restaurant. Then an early night. Tomorrow, the big family adventure begins. by @starrcassidy

Current situation. Feeling much better. The sun is shining and seas are calm for our last day at sea. We are entering the inside passage to return to Vancouver tomorrow. Sigh! by @starrcassidy
