What is the point of life if you can’t spend it creating art?

Oh hi, me again.
Look I’m even all dressed up! I got invited out to dinner to help distract from my life.
Now for the life update.
My hormone suppressants aren’t working, or they’re not enough, or I have an extraordinarily strong uterus. Whatever the reason, I am now waiting on a uterus/pelvic ultrasound to make sure there’s nothing cancerous/problematic. Whoooo, does this marry-go-round ever end?
Not yet apparently. As long as the imaging comes back okay, next step is to have a hysterectomy and oopherectomy (big words for YEETETH THE UTERUS AND OVARIES) 😩😭😬
I joked with my onco-gyno that I’ll only have one “removable” organ left ~ gallbladder.
(Please gallbladder, function correctly I don’t need anymore surgeries ❤️‍🩹)
The left side of my body is struggling with muscle atrophy, weakness, neuropathy, and odd pains. Neurologist scheduled a cervical spine MRI to make sure nothing is pinched.
I still don’t have my MRI results from my left shoulder or chest. Which I’m really hoping means I’m okay 🤞🏻
5 years after active treatment (chemo/radiation/immunotherapy) as long as there’s nothing new,I can have my life back. Supposedly.
The pessimism is hard to fight, when I still don’t see an end to this very long tunnel. by @starrywarrior18

Meet Remington! About 6 months old, found as a stray. He’d only been at the shelter for about a week or two. Hadn’t even gotten his info card up yet! He immediately wanted to sniff and check on my healing port procedure. I’m pretty sure he was around his mom or siblings while a stray. He’s such a snuggly boy and endlessly curious! I now have a forever bathroom buddy 🤭

I called my dad this morning. To tell him my disability case was denied a third time. That I’m going to court next over all of this. I told him how my eyes are getting worse because my prescription is too old. How I was told yesterday that my skeleton is essentially attempting to play twister. I told him I did have good news, my MRIs to check my left shoulder and my chest for cancer is Wednesday. He didn’t say much. He kept saying it wasn’t supposed to be like this. I shouldn’t be having to fight so hard to get help. My dad voted for 🍊, bragged about how happy he was two years ago with the results. He’s not happy anymore. He doesn’t understand how his child just couldn’t get help. Without at least spending many years attempting to survive or die trying. Huh, regret looks odd when it’s too little too late.
I spend the majority of my days laying down. Or doing a few small things, interspersed with laying down and physical therapy exercises.
I am still here, so I will keep fighting. by @starrywarrior18

Health update! Pic for attention
I went to my orthopedic appointment yesterday and had x-rays taken of my shoulder. My scapula is coming off of my ribcage. My left shoulder is also rotated forward, causing popping, inflammation, pain. Theres also a bone fragment in my shoulder????! Apparently leftover from puberty? It’s fine says doc😬🧐🙃
(I’ll add the video of my left scapula popping out in comments if anyone is curious)
Three options:
Surgery: involves opening up my back, drilling a hole at the bottom of my scapula, and attaching it to my ribcage with pig sinew. ~ Doctor doesn’t want to do this, I don’t want to do this!
Cortizone shots into the shoulder: to help with the inflammation and pain. I always thought this was for people in bad accidents! 😩 I guess I qualify now. ~ Doctor doesn’t want to do this m, I don’t want to do this either!
Physical therapy and oral steroids: 1 year, possibly more. For the entire shoulder with mobility and strength training. ~ Option the doctor and I both chose

This is on top of the physical therapy already ordered by my plastic surgeon. My anatomy classes are sure coming in handy while I describe symptoms. 🙃😂😁

That’s three forms of physical therapy now ordered. Pelvic floor therapy is also ordered. To regain body mass and functionality after fighting cancer. Another year at least of healing. Of recovering.

Cancer has left its mark. The days/weeks/months of forced bedrest have left their mark. Doesn’t stop me. Life looks different now, it doesn’t mean it’s over. ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🔥

MRI ordered for left shoulder and breasts. My port gets taken out after the imaging. Cancer changed a lot about me, it will never define who I am.
My journey is one that carries cancer and all that it comes with. It is not where my story ends. by @starrywarrior18

It’s almost my birthday! Time to celebrate! Or, well maybe do something chill and otherwise recover.
Every red item is a doctor’s appointment. Yesterday, I got 3 more referrals for 3 more specialists and 15 different blood tests ordered. Including one for hyper-mobility.
I’m becoming increasingly burnt out. On everything. Doesn’t matter if it’s trips out, family, a trip I’ve been looking forward to, or appointments. I spend my “off” days recuperating or preparing for “on” days.
I’m really excited about the Glen Ivy trip! It’ll also take ~2 days to prep, energy, mentally, physically; ~2 days to recover from 1 day out.
Yes, even though it’s a relaxing and calming day. I’m hoping it means my recovering time after won’t be as long.
I feel like I’m on a rollercoaster that’s either up “I’m doing great, I can handle what’s happening, I only have a few appointments yay!” And down “burnout from everything, not even wanting to go out for fun anymore”
This is also why the bipolar 2 diagnosis was expanded to also add borderline personality disorder.
All I really want for my birthday is to spend time with Ariya. by @starrywarrior18
