Another poster for some of my fave people. Thanks for this lovely, intimate tour, @talesofbraveida. As cozy as a warm blanket, which was the inspo for this poster series, made of hundreds of metal and wood type ornaments. by @starshapedpress

9/18 is Type High Day in the letterpress world as .918” is the height of metal & wood type. Print Club members who’ve been in the club for a full year (Sept to Sept) get a piece of type designed by me. This year it was laser cut by @moorewoodtype.

We're so excited to introduce you to our friend and featured artist, Jen Farrell!

She's been setting type by hand for decades and believes some things are worth doing the old fashioned way. Her Chicago letterpress shop, @starshapedpress, opened in 1999 and works exclusively with antique wood and metal type.

We love the thought and care that goes into her designs, and we're so glad Jen is part of our Chicago artist community. 🎨🦫

Want a piece of her work for yourself? Get a FREE "Made with Human Intelligence" button designed by Jen with every order while they last!

Made a set of ampersand cards featuring glorious examples cut by @virginwoodtype. This one had a border I finally identified as potentially credited to Lucian Bernhard.
