Pitch It GBP! is accepting applications from any George Brown Polytechnic student or recent graduate with an active georgebrown.ca email account who is seeking seed funding to support the creation of a business/social innovation.

Pitch your business or social enterprise and win part of a $15,000 prize fund.

Applications close at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, 27th October 2026. Open to any GBP students and recent grads from 2025/2026 programs with an active georgebrown.ca email address.

There will be two streams of the competition:

1. Currently operational businesses or social innovation, and

2. Ideation stage organization or social innovation.

Registration for 2026 opened on Tuesday, August 4, 2026! Check out the competition structure and eligibility below.

Submission Supports

2 BMC/Pitch Workshops will be run before the competition, so please be sure to attend one of these for a learning opportunity to help strengthen your submission.

1st BMC & Pitch Workshop - Thursday October 15th 5:30-7:30pm

2nd BMC & Pitch Workshop - Tuesday October 20th 5:30-7:30pm

Both Workshops are held at the startGBC Entrepreneurship Support Center - 200 King st East room B175 9 Across from the information desk)
