Small spends add up. So can small investments. 💰

Invest ₹10K/month for 10 years + stay invested for the next 10 years. Explore the opportunity before the NFO ends.

Comment "FUNDING" to get the guide.

Most founders think funding = VC. That’s not always true. 👀

If you’re building an early-stage startup in India, there are government-backed programmes that can provide up to ₹1 crore in support, depending on the scheme and eligibility.

And here’s what most founders miss:

You generally don’t pitch directly to the government.
Applications are made through supported incubators, which announce their own calls.

So before you spend months chasing VCs, it’s worth knowing what government-backed funding options exist for your stage.

Want the scheme name + eligibility + application process?

Follow me + comment “FUNDING” and I’ll DM you the details.

Funding ≠ startup success.

Raising capital is a milestone. What you build with it is the real achievement.

Don’t measure your startup by how much you’ve raised.
Measure it by the value you’ve created.

Agree or disagree? 👇

Apple’s real competitive advantage isn’t just the iPhone.

It’s pricing power.

Apple has built an ecosystem where the iPhone, AirPods, Apple Watch, Mac, iCloud, App Store and other services work together — making the cost of switching much higher than simply buying another smartphone.

And that creates a powerful business advantage:

Customers become less price-sensitive when the value of the entire ecosystem is greater than the value of one product.

This is one of the most important business strategy lessons founders can learn from Apple:

Don’t just build a great product.

Build an ecosystem, customer loyalty and switching costs around it.

Because when customers choose you for more than just price, you stop competing like a commodity.

That’s how brands build pricing power.

Follow if you want to think, build and win like a founder.

SUGAR raised over Rs 700 Cr at a Rs 3,000 Cr valuation.
Today it's raising at Rs 550 Cr. That's an 80% cut.

The lesson? Funding is not success.

Here's the breakdown for founders:

Phase 1: The Hype (2022)
- Rs 3,000 Cr valuation, Shark Tank fame, 45k stores
- Money was cheap, growth was the only metric

Phase 2: The Reality (FY25)
- Revenue: Rs 505 Cr → Rs 404 Cr (-20%)
- Loss: Rs 68 Cr → Rs 135 Cr (2x)
- New raise: Only Rs 144 Cr from existing investor A91, no new investor came in

What went wrong? 3 founder lessons:

1. Offline expansion burns cash faster than online growth.45k stores need inventory everywhere. If sales don't double, cashflow breaks.

2. Multiple brands = divided focus.SUGAR, SUGAR POP, Quench, ENN — same team, 4 P&Ls to manage.

3. Valuation is not validation. Rs 3,000 Cr never meant the business was profitable. It just meant investors _believed_ it would be.

They're now using fresh capital just for working capital — to pay salaries and keep stock moving. That's survival funding, not growth funding.

If you're building a D2C brand, remember this:
Money gives you time. It doesn't give you product-market fit, distribution moat, or profitability.

Funding can delay failure. It can't prevent it.

Save this for when you think you need to raise.
