The love for self-expression and thrill is what brought Samantha to her first aerial class more than five years ago and she has been hooked ever since. Journalist by day, her dance training first started with ballet and later in her university days, competitive Latin dancesport. She is also a YTT200 yoga teacher with over eight years of experience under her belt. Performed by Gregory @cptgregory , Nicole @nicaerial and Sarah-Jean @nothingisimpossipole. Premiered at Flipside 2026 presented by @esplanadesingapore.

I was very privileged to be invited by @bornfiresingapore to choreograph an ensemble aerial finale piece for Aerial Open Stage 2026. Although I hold the title choreographer, I see myself more in the role of giving artistic direction especially since my cast put together their solos, Greg in his hoop solo, Sarah creating pole rope (all I did was a only prompt and request I gave her) , and Nicole in her opening beat sequence. And even as I direct the piece with its opening rope drape motif, the lasso, direction on the act sequencing and transitions and the trio hoop ; they were only possible with the beautiful explorations, inputs from the cast making it uniquely ours. So this was really a collaborative effort.

Shoutout to @yofathletica for dressing them up for the performance and giving extra training gears too.

Big thank you to @xynfoo @etienneferrere @meeganhon @shining540 and the rest of the entire stage & rigging crew for making the show possible.

Thank you @kelvinloosg for shooting/editing this beautiful video and giving us permission to post . Also 😘 @honeysstarr for allowing @cptgregory to use some of your hoop choreo moves in this piece.
