Today marks the 5th anniversary of The Happiness Manual🌟

Since its publication, 8,000+ copies have been sold across the United States and Ukraine. I’m deeply grateful to my publishers, New Degree Press and @yakaboo_publishing , for helping the book reach so many people.

And I’m honored that so many readers have found value in it and that it has helped them understand themselves better: what drives them, and what makes them feel fulfilled.

There are so many new ideas I want to share on this topic, and part of me wants to write a follow-up. But many of those ideas have found their way into my new novel, The Sacred Grid — coming out at the end of 2026.

Thank you for all your continued support and interest. by @stas.arsonov

Camino Provides.

As I ran to catch my bus to Porto, people watched me, wondering how this crazy pilgrim still had the energy to run after walking the Camino.

Waiting in line to board, I met another pilgrim who told me that instead of Porto, she’d decided to visit a neighboring town — Braga.

I didn’t think much of it at the time. Actually, I felt a little frustration rise up at the thought of such a detour.

The journey was a sentimental one: watching towns that had taken us days to reach slip past us in less than an hour.

As we crossed the Spanish border, our bus made a symphony of strange sounds and shakes and stalled in the middle of a tunnel.

The driver climbed out, poured something in from a plastic bottle, and kicked the side of the bus a few times like it was his donkey. Eventually the engine roared to life, and we carried on.

Surfing the internet, I found out my train from Porto to Lisbon had been canceled because of the strikes. The only train left to Lisbon was leaving from… Braga 😄

I check the time — we arrive to Braga in ten minutes. I check the schedule — the train leaves in twenty. So I buy another ticket, jump off the bus, and run to the nearest taxi waiting outside. “Hit the gas, chef!” I said as I climbed in.

Now I’m on the train to Lisbon, looking out the window again, grateful to the Camino for reminding me of the subtle language of the Universe. by @stas.arsonov

We live in an age of endless information.

Often, we’re encouraged to read, listen, and absorb as much wisdom as possible. And while this can feel enriching, something unexpected can happen: in the midst of so many voices, we lose touch with our own.

Have you noticed that the deeper you search, the more conflicting messages you find about what it means to live a meaningful life?

One expert tells you to hustle and build your empire. Another one urges you to let go of ego and devote yourself to a life of service. One says “follow your bliss”; another warns that true fulfillment only comes when you transcend your desires.

Many who have “glimpsed beyond the veil” describe life as a two-part journey. First, we pursue desires, build careers, and chase ambition.

Eventually, we realize material success alone doesn’t bring lasting fulfillment. Then begins the second half: service, contribution, devotion to something greater than yourself.

But what happens if we encounter this advice too early?

Naturally, you wouldn’t want to follow a path that leads to disappointment. So we might suppress our longings, telling ourselves we should already be “beyond” them.

But deep down, a quiet voice still whispers: I want to be seen. I want to achieve more.

Skipping ahead can rob us of the very experiences that would naturally lead to that shift. We can convince ourselves we’re ready to serve the greater good, while still feeling pulled toward goals that satisfy our personal ambitions.

This creates inner conflict.

You want to do good in the world—but part of you still longs to create, achieve, prove your worth.

And if that part is never fully lived, your desire to serve may feel hollow—driven more by guilt than genuine evolution.

Maybe the advices we receive should come with a disclaimer:

“This teaching is for reflection purposes only. It’s not meant to shortcut your experience or shield you from the lessons you need to experience.”

Maybe true wisdom isn’t in someone else’s teaching at all, but arises in the quiet space between your own questions—and your honest answers. by @stas.arsonov

After nearly 18 months of weaving together ideas—and countless hours of writing and refining—I’ve finally submitted the manuscript for my debut novella, The Sacred Grid, to my editor.

While there’s still more revising ahead, the soul of the story is complete, and I’m excited to begin sharing it with beta readers soon.

The Sacred Grid is a story of awakening set between two worlds.

When Cassandra discovers cryptic research notes left behind by her father, she’s pulled into a hidden reality of lost knowledge and altered history. From ancient temples and buried technologies to betrayal and revelation, her quest for answers quickly transforms into a mission to reclaim what was once forgotten. by @stas.arsonov

For all the audiobook lovers out there, I’m excited to share that The Happiness Manual is now available on Audible and Apple Books 🎧

It’s been an incredible journey bringing this project to life, and I couldn’t be happier with the incredible narration by Theo Polo.

His voice adds such a unique and engaging dimension to the book - trust me, I’ve been listening to him for months now 😃 Enjoy listening! (link in bio) by @stas.arsonov
