4.    Self-Construction

Your relationship to the world is mediated through what you buy.

You do not need to leave your house to be a part of a global culture. The culture of online shopping, of commerce. Ultimately, this isolates the individual, and facilities a worldview that is totally myopic, and fascist. Your interaction with the world can be described best as ‘choose your own adventure,’ permitting a sense of total autonomy and control.
Perhaps the adventure is already chosen for you.

What might a ‘clean start’ look like… Erasing your digital footprint. To not be encumbered by yourself.

You are never really lost in the world anymore, which would mean, to be lost in yourself. To not know who you really are. Within this equation, there is a productive value in being lost. Not knowing who you are, what you want, and what you want to buy.
