MEETING OF STYLES OSLO 2026 - wowza, what a blast! From the incredible organising by @snorkone and @hanna.petrine.munkeby to all the incredibly skilled, inspirational and lovely artists i got the honour of painting alongside, all the wonderful people who stopped and talked, all the photographers who took such great pictures - chief amongst them @streetartbergen and @salvadorfotografi , all the wonderful volunteers who helped us make it all happen and spread so much great vibes, to the grand cooperation and spot between IDE, @poeme_3rd and @jinkskunst this weekend and experience could not have been better. I chose to paint something close to my heart with this one. In these turbulent times this world-angst ridden artist finds so much hope, connection and joy in moments of shared love and appreciation of life and nature on the various dancefloors made by the electronic music community in Oslo's forests. A week before MOS i had one especially spectacular boogie in the pouring rain with @frgmnts - where mother nature did her thing to ad to the magical atmosphere by lighting up the sky and forest with pink lighting bolts. To say I had goosebumps as I bounced around would be an understatement. In times of division and growing political polarisation I think we all could benefit from focusing on these moments of unity, magic and our shared experience of this one given life. And so I painted a rendition of #collectiveeffervescence ✨️Thanks to everyone who made this nervous and humbled artists 1 year aniversary with spray cans such an epic experience. Best gratitude boosting habit of 2025. Also the first time of my life I've ever managed not to (perfectionism induced rage) quit a sketchbook. Took it back to the basics - pencil and rough sketches first - then later drawing over in pen while enjoying the reminiscing to warmer days. 10/10 can recommend for anyone looking to appreciate the little moments in life more, be somewhat less winter depressed, scroll less, perhaps sometimes need a break from active participation in social settings and or work on their perfectionism while also developing their artistic abilities. Also, if you're a side quest loving soul like me, doing things alone becomes even more alluring and far less intimidating when you (sketchbook at the ready) actively seek out the nice views and vibes - no matter your sketch style or skill level. The importance of International Women's Day feels extra momentous this year. So many people and minorities keep having their human rights, bodily autonomy, and their rights to self-determination attacked and taken away from them. With what we see happening now globally with the rise of far right extremism, fascism and the war on "wokeness" (or the war on basic humanity and empathy - let's be so abundantly clear on that one), research bans, education bans, ngo-defunding, and a steady growing increase of violence against minorities, women and girls we need to keep our fellow human safe, close and protected. Hate spreads like a plague, and we need to stand together in times of division. Speak up for those weaker than you - I'm looking at you men. Call out misogyny and hold your mates accountable - the oppressed can not convince the oppressor to end their oppression. The rights we have now can just as easily be taken away, as the news shows us every day. Keep on talking about injustice, oppression, and human rights for all. I think it’s about time I made you a record!🌊🩵It is with a heart full of gratitude that I am announcing the release of my first ever single ‘Treasure’ this summer!
