Being patriotic has always meant more than fireworks and flags. Throughout American history, the most patriotic moments are the ones when people have worked to hold our country true to the American Promise it was founded on.

And like @melissacwalker talks about, in state capitols, lawmakers are stepping up to solve the issues impacting us the most.

Giving Circles are fueling the work to build power for the state lawmakers who show up to make the American Promise a reality.

For no reason whatsoever, we’re here to remind you that a classic tactic of dictators is to control the media themselves to manipulate elections and project a false image of democratic legitimacy. At TSP, we have our own point of view about how to protect elections.

HINT: it starts in the states and nobody's covering it.

The rightwing Supreme Court majority has repeatedly ruled in ways designed to help the rightwing cling to power in the midterms.

But this week, by ruling against new USPS vote-by-mail regulations, the Court sided with voters.

That doesn’t mean the rightwing won’t try again before 2028. And that’s why we need to build governing power for state lawmakers protecting voters’ voices this November. by @statesprojectus
