Blink and you’ll miss me. 😅

After months of filming across different countries and tough locations it’s surreal to finally see myself on screen in The Odyssey.
Every second was worth it.

The Greek in THE ODYSSEY 🇬🇷🗡️

Without a doubt, this was the most rewarding experience I’ve ever had on set. Filming for 3 months on real locations, rowing and sailing alongside an incredible group of people who have become friends for life. As a Greek, what an honour it’s been to be a member of Odysseus’ crew in the telling of this epic poem through the lens, chasing the escaping sun.

A huge thank you to @take3agency for giving me the opportunity of a lifetime, to the ADs and coordinators, to the crew and everyone involved, and to the captain and crew of @drakenhh for an unforgettable adventure.

This experience truly was an Odyssey. I’ll cherish it forever, not only for the lifelong friendships I made, but also for the privilege of witnessing and contributing to Sir Christopher Nolan’s extraordinary vision brought to life.

The Odyssey is now playing in theaters worldwide. Watch it on the BIGGEST SCREEN you can! 🎥⚔️

Turning Scotland’s Culbin Forest into the realm of the Laestrygonians.

Actor Stathis Papadopoulos talks with CineTalks by CineMapper about his experience on set for The Odyssey. As a Greek actor passionate about movies, stepping onto the set of the biggest Ancient Greek film adaptation was a dream project.

Watch Stathis discuss the raw energy of filming the infamous Laestrygonians encounter on location in the Scottish wilderness.

Christopher Nolan really brings the epic to life with minimal CGI and the use of real locations.

One of Odysseus’ men. 🇬🇷

Sing in me, Muse, and through me tell the story of that man skilled in all ways of contending, the wanderer, harried for years on end, after he plundered the stronghold on the proud height of Troy.
He saw the townlands and learned the minds of many distant men, and weathered many bitter nights and days in his deep heart at sea.
