San Francisco Opera Centennial Season Posters, 2022

I'm was humbled and honored to work with the wonderful people @sfopera on a series of 10 posters that celebrate the 100-year anniversary of this San Francisco institution.

This is the first of the series, for Giacomo Puccini’s “Madame Butterfly,” a classic reimagined through the eyes of a young Japanese-American boy, struggling with the ghosts of his parents’ past.

I want to thank SF Opera General Director @matthew_shilvock , Marketing Director Kathryn Appleton, and Art Director Adam Snellings @adamsnellingsyoga, for one of the most rewarding commissions of my career. I can't wait to see where the future might take us.

New Season of SF Opera Posters!

I was honored to be asked back as the poster artist for the @sfopera 2024-2025 season. I'll be posting more on this series in the coming days and weeks.

The @sfopera consistently produces and commissions new operas that explore many of today's most talked-about issues. In addition to revisiting classics like La Boheme, they boldly take on issues including school shootings, slavery and human trafficking, flawed tech moguls, freedom of religion, and women's reproductive rights.

This illustration is the final poster image selected for The Handmaid's Tale, along with a handful of other roughs that were explored in the process.

I cannot say enough thanks to the amazing team at the @sfopera for allowing me to become a member of such a creative ensemble.

Out today, new cover image for @newsweek AI Politics Issue.

This issue is made particularly unnerving since the current occupant of the White House seems hell-bent on leaving nothing behind when he departs this planet, except for an arch and an unlivable world.

Out today in @newrepublic

"We Need To Talk About The Apocalypse"

End-times prophecy, pro-war prayer circles. Democrats as demons, criminalizing the exercise of civil liberties: Christian dominionism's influence is everywhere in the second Trump administration - and increasingly, within America itself.
