Well, Tassie, you’ve been pretty keen on kindness! 💙

Our @pigeonwholebakers x Stay ChatTY tees have been flying off the shelves 👀

Designed by the brilliant David Booth (@ghostpatrol), these limited-edition tees are a little reminder that kindness doesn’t have to be grand to make a difference.

Mental Health Week might be behind us, but the little things still matter. So, let's keep finding ways to knead kindness into the everyday 🍞

Want one? Head to the Pigeon Whole Bakers store on Argyle St or shop online at staychatty.com.au.

A quick sizing tip: these tees are unisex and intentionally oversized, so check the size dimensions on our website before ordering to find your fit.

All profits go to Stay ChatTY, helping us continue our work to create a community where mental health conversations are part of everyday life.

Aurora Energy CEO, Nigel Clark recently spoke with Speak Up Stay ChatTY Founder, Mitch McPherson about the importance of building a psychologically safe workplace – a workplace where our people “feel comfortable to speak up without fear of speaking up”.

Aurora Energy has ambitious targets to build a connected and engaged workforce and critical to that ambition is our focus on building a workplace that is psychologically safe, where our employees feel connected, and have the confidence to share their vulnerabilities without fear of judgement.

In the spirit of Mental Health Week’s theme – to appreciate the little things – we also acknowledge the important role of organisations like @staychatty for encouraging people to keep chatting about their mental health and for normalising a culture where it’s okay to speak up and ask for help.

As they prepare for their Gala Ball this weekend, we thank Mitch and the team for their ongoing work and wish them a successful event.

It has been a busy 6 months for Stay ChatTY rolling out our Construction Program all across Tasmania ⚒️

The Program focuses on no-nonsense education to help people speak up, look out for one another, and seek support early.

Using evidence garnered from tradies across Tasmania, the sessions provides practical, straight-talking mental health conversations that fit real worksites, and real pressures.

We deliver a variety of sessions to suit the entire scope of the construction industry: from builders and contractors, subbies and crews, to site leaders, supervisors, and managers.

We are so proud to be rolling this out with the help of some of Tasmania’s most respected organisations in the industry.

Thank you to @fairbrother_construction @masterbuilderstas and @keystonetasmania for your amazing support.

Pigeon Whole Bakers x Speak Up, Stay ChatTY!

We’ve been carefully baking a collaboration with @staychatty to celebrate this Mental Health Week, and it’s all about kindness. With this year’s Tasmanian Mental Health Week theme encouraging us to appreciate the little things.

We’ve created a limited-edition tee with a playful reminder that small acts of kindness can make a big difference. We were so glad that our friend David Booth @ghostpatrol was happy to add his distinctive style and create what we think is an awesome illustration for this limited tee.

A kind word, taking the time to check in, or simply showing someone a bit of understanding can mean more than we realise—especially when someone might be carrying more than you can see.

Tees are available in-store at PWB, 32 Argyle Street, or online at staychatty.com.au (link in bio).
All profits going to @staychatty allowing them to continue their vital work with in our community.

Tasmanian trade supplier Nubco is aiming to raise $10,000 for SPEAK UP! Stay ChatTY by donating 2% of October purchases through its Advantage Plus Loyalty Program statewide.

The campaign will run at all of Nubco’s seven stores in Devonport, Burnie, Launceston, George Town, Derwent Park, Kingston and Mornington.

General Manager Nick Daw said Nubco wanted to support the Tasmanian community, while founder Mitch McPherson said construction workers face suicide rates roughly twice those of other employed men.

McPherson said the money would help keep mental health conversations going across Tasmania, with customers able to sign up via the link in our bio. by @staychatty

💙 Tomorrow kicks off Mental Health Week in Tasmania (3–10 October), and this year’s theme is all about highlighting that “Together, we thrive”.

At Stay ChatTY, we know it’s often the small moments — a chat with a mate, a smile from a stranger, or taking a breath in your busy day — that can make the biggest difference for our mental health.

When we aim to create change within our workplaces, schools, sporting clubs and community groups, we bring people together, and that’s where the differences are made!

There are events and activities happening right across the state, and we’d love to see you get involved.

👉 Check out the full program of events this week through @mhctas

Let’s keep the conversation going, and remember, mental health matters, every single day.

This week on This Busy Life, we’re joined by Mitch McPherson, founder of SPEAK UP! Stay ChatTY.

Mitch shares the story of losing his younger brother Ty to suicide in 2013, and how that devastating loss led him to create a movement that has helped change the conversation around mental health in Tasmania.

We talk about grief, connection, checking in on the people around us, burnout, looking after yourself when life gets busy, and the work Mitch and the Stay ChatTY team continue to do in our community.

Mitch has now shared his story at more than 1,000 events across schools, workplaces, sporting clubs and communities but at the heart of his message is something incredibly simple: speak up and stay connected.

🎧 A Conversation That Matters: Mitch McPherson on Grief, Mental Health & Connection is out now.

Listen wherever you get your podcasts or watch on YouTube.

** This episode was recorded back in May, so some of the events we chat about have since passed. by @staychatty
