StayDriftn SFI-rated gloves put to the test

Big thank you to Bacon Bar for collaborating with me and letting me safely test these gloves around high-temperature items.

These gloves are SFI 3.3/5 rated gear, which means they are designed to be fire-resistant protective gear not “fireproof.” There is a difference. Fire-resistant gear is made to help protect you in emergency situations, such as a fire, heat exposure, or when you need extra seconds to react, escape, or get yourself to safety.

It does not mean you can hold fire, touch hot metal, or expose yourself to extreme heat on purpose.

I tested them myself to show their heat resistance, but please do not try this on your own. This was done in a controlled setting and at my own risk.

StayDriftn, Bacon Bar, and anyone involved are not responsible or liable for any injury, damage, or activity someone chooses to attempt after watching this. Use proper safety gear, understand the limits, and don’t play with heat or fire.

I want to take a moment to say thank you to @fbm.okinawa , @gogo_media_japan @rohabify and the @yy.kiyoto team for the amazing experience drifting in mainland Japan.
Getting the chance to drive at Suzuka Twin Circuit, Motorland, and Meihan D Course was something I’ll never forget. Each track taught me something different and pushed me way outside of what I’m used to.
Driving a D1-spec light vehicle with an SR20 making 400+ power completely changed my mindset. Higher-speed entries, more angle, more commitment, and finally understanding what it feels like to really push into that next level gave me a lot of growth. I never really got into 3rd gear before like that, and feeling what the car could do opened my eyes to how much further I want to go in this career.
This trip gave me a deeper understanding of drifting, different vehicles, different tracks, and the kind of driver I want to become.

For anyone looking to expand their knowledge, skills, confidence, connection experience in drifting, FBM Okinawa and Yogidenki are definitely the way to go. With over 20 years of experience in this field, you’re guaranteed to leave with something valuable.
