A little over a year ago, Victor started training with me and watching how much he’s changed has been really cool.
He owns a hair salon, works long days, and spends a ton of time in the same positions.

So yes, we’ve worked on strength, mobility, and completely changing his posture

but the biggest win has been awareness.

He catches the patterns now.

He knows when he’s sinking into certain positions at work, he understands what his body needs, and he has the tools to actually do something about it.

That’s the part of coaching I care about most.
Whether someone works with me remotely, hybrid, or just drops into class, I’m always trying to get to the root of what’s going on and create changes that actually fit their life.

Custom. Sustainable. Simple.

I use technology to make the process easier, and I educate you as we go so you actually understand what you’re doing and why.

I’m not interested in just counting reps.

I want you to leave knowing your body better than when you came in.

Victor is such a good example of how this work can carry into everything

your energy, your confidence, your work, and how you show up in your life.

Proud of you, Vic.

I’m currently taking on fully remote 1:1 clients, hybrid clients in Tucson, and I teach classes every week if you want to drop in.

You can’t numb the bad without numbing the good.

The human experience is all about feeling. Moving through emotions (energy in motion).

Facing my shit allowed me to feel love and gratitude that I had completely shut out for majority of my life because I just thought “pushing through” and not feeling was a bigger flex than it is.

The real flex is sitting with your self but that’s also easier said than done so I encourage you to just start with a child like curiosity and take it 1 day at a time. Stay Fun BB 🤟🏽 by @stayfunctionalbb

Collaboration has always been one of my favorite parts of patient care. 🤍

I’m so grateful to work alongside Tania and see the incredible changes our patients and clients experience when we combine our specialties. While we share a similar philosophy of treating the body as a connected system, we each bring a different set of eyes to the table and that’s where the magic happens.

Through ongoing communication, we’re able to better understand what each person needs and adapt our care accordingly. Whether it’s chiropractic care, pelvic floor rehabilitation, or improving functional movement patterns, every piece works together to help the body move, heal, and perform the way it was designed to.

No two people are the same, which means no two treatment plans should be either. By collaborating, we can meet you where you are and create a plan that’s tailored specifically to your goals.

If you’ve been dealing with pain, dysfunction, movement limitations, pelvic floor concerns, or you simply want to move and feel better, we’d love to help.

You can work with either of us individually or experience the benefits of combining both approaches for truly personalized care.

Ready to get started? Send either of us a message, and let’s build a plan that works for you. 💚 by @stayfunctionalbb

Made this because Fascia has been getting thrown around online constantly and almost nobody explains what’s actually happening biologically.

Is it a superhighway of electricity… not necessarily. That’s the exaggerated version and it doesn’t create a clear picture.

Can it generate enough electricity to fire a light bulb? No but it CAN communicate with your cells

Here’s the real mechanism:

collagen :the main protein in fascia, tendons, ligaments, and bone is piezoelectric.

That means when it’s stretched, compressed, or loaded, it generates a small electrical signal.

This is called mechanotransduction, and it’s how your cells sense mechanical force and know how to respond

repair, remodel, strengthen, adapt.

This is why weight bearing exercise builds bone density, why posture and movement patterns actually change how your tissue behaves over time, and why chronic stiffness often isn’t about damage.. it’s tissue that’s adapted to repetitive mechanical input.

None of this is mystical.

It’s measured, published physiology.

The signals are small and localized, not some full body “electric superhighway” but they’re real, and they’re one of the reasons movement quality and consistency matter more than people think.

You don’t need to memorize the biology.

Just know this: your body reads mechanical force as information, all day, every day. What you’re feeding it shapes what it becomes.

In my opinion this is GREAT news because it means there’s a solution and it also means we know how we developed certain patterns. It’s just a result of the information we communicated.

I say this all the time, but it’s easier for me to train someone who has never worked out in their life vs someone who has consistently lifted weights incorrectly.

This is something I really wish I understood as a young bodybuilder ego lifting and doing anything to make weight move with zero awareness of what was correct. To this day I am fixing patterns that I created through these electrical signals.

Moral of the story, move with intention. It truly matters and your body will transform incredibly fast when you send the right information.

Your upper back is supposed to rotate.

But daily habits like sitting hunched over, driving, texting, laptop work, and training without mobility can make the
 T-spine stiff.

When your upper back stops moving well, your body may start compensating through the neck, shoulders, or low back.

Common signs:

neck tension
tight shoulders
low back discomfort
poor posture
limited overhead range
feeling “stuck” when you twist

This drill helps restore rotation through the upper back so your body can move more freely #holistichealth

Move better. Feel better. Stay Functional BB!

Most people train like an empty can.

No pressure.
No structure.
Just hoping strength shows up.

But your body doesn’t work like that.

Think about an aluminum can:

A sealed can?
Strong. Stable. Hard to crush.

An open can?
It folds with almost no effort.

That’s the difference between having intra-abdominal pressure…
and not.

When you breathe properly and create pressure through your core,
you turn your body into a pressurized system — not just muscles working randomly.

Now you have:
	•	Stability
	•	Strength that transfers
	•	A spine that’s supported instead of stressed

Most people were never taught this.

They suck their stomach in…
breathe into their chest…
and wonder why their back hurts or lifts feel off.

Fix your pressure → everything changes.

Think:
360° breath
Expand, don’t suck in
Brace like you mean it

Like Bro you’re literally wasting more time. STOP DOING THAT!

Shame and Guilt have this sneaky way of getting you stuck in a loop of more shame and guilt. Leading to a shame/ analysis paralysis that leads to nothing other than more of itself.

Simple fix…don’t let those fuckers in.

Focus your energy on what you WANT to become a reality.

When we sit and ruminate we literally hardwire a reality where we get Stuck in the same patterns and emotions we’re literally trying to break out of.

WAKE THE FUCK UP BB.
your words are powerful.
Your focus is powerful.
You’re literally the creator of your reality in REAL FUCKING TIME.
RIGHT NOW!

Ok im done. Love you. by @stayfunctionalbb

Most of us spend our day in forward flexion (phones, desks, driving), which causes the tissues along the front fascial line to tighten. This connective tissue chain runs from your feet → quads → hip flexors → abdominals → rib cage → chest → neck.

When that front line gets stiff, the rib cage loses its ability to expand and move with your breath.

This stretch helps open the front body and give the ribs space to move again.

How to do it:

1️⃣ Start kneeling with your hips over your knees.
2️⃣ Place your hands on the floor behind you.
3️⃣ Gently press the hips forward and lift the chest.
4️⃣ Think “expand the ribs as you inhale” rather than just arching your lower back.
5️⃣ Take slow deep breaths into the sides and back of your ribs.

Hold for 30–60 seconds.

Beginner modifications:

• Stay more upright and place hands on your low back instead of the floor.
• Put a yoga block or bench behind you to support your hands.
• Don’t push into a big backbend — focus on breathing into the rib cage.

If this feels intense in the low back, you’ve probably gone too far.
This should feel like an opening through the ribs and chest, not compression in the spine.

Sometimes improving posture, breathing, and shoulder mobility doesn’t start with strengthening…

It starts with giving your ribs space to move again. by @stayfunctionalbb

You’re not inconsistent.
You’re not lazy.
You’re not broken.

Your body is just overloaded, overstimulated, and under-supported.
And the “just lift and push through” model?
That’s what’s keeping you stuck.

Most of my clients come to me already doing more than enough...
👉 5-day splits
👉 HIIT on fumes
👉 Meditation, mobility, supplements

Still tight. Still tired. Still disconnected.

Because no one’s looking at the full picture:
Nervous system. Fascia. Breath. Subconscious. Energy.

What I do isn’t just workouts
It’s system recalibration.
So your body stops bracing…
And starts performing. Recovering. Feeling free.

If you’ve been grinding, but your body still feels off...

This is your sign to stop managing symptoms
and finally reconnect to your power.
