i spent my birthday unda da sea! 🌊 listen, when @danniwashington calls, you answer. i had full intention to spend my birthday quietly at home with friends until i got the call on sunday afternoon. danni casually asked “would you want to come to the little mermaid premiere with me, for your birthday tomorrow?” to which my inner (and outer) child squealed with excitement. i had less than 24 hours to figure everything out. flight, outfit, makeup, life! but when you open yourself to receiving, great things can happen!i almost second guessed myself, but i was able to reschedule my original plan and put the wheels in motion. danni and i wanted to stay on theme, looking for ocean colors and textures. she opted for her net textured, sand colored dress, while i chose “fancy pajamas” in an ocean shade of blue. i was convinced by @angiehilem to throw on the sparkly blazer, which makes everything a little extra. i ordered the shoes on monday morning and had them delivered via uber package 📦. they arrived just as i was heading to the airport. my flight was hella delayed so when i arrived, i had to do makeup in the car, and get dressed in the makeup studio where danni was at. lmao, when i tell y’all it was a journey!! 😂 but we did it, joe!! walking the “blue” carpet was so cool. the decor was whimsical, and we really felt “unda da sea.” people went all out with the gowns, and also stuck to the theme! i was in awe of the creativity, fr. i ran into my girl @badassboz at the afterparty and y’all knew she had a LEWK! (she said she almost didn’t recognize me without my camera 💀). her bb girl lael and i had matching blue eyeshadow. 💙 and the movie! y’alllllllll, it was better than i could have imagined. @hallebailey’s voice? i had chills! @daveeddiggs as sebastian was so freakin funny. we all know the storyline, but i still i teared up at the end! 🥲 it was a gorgeous visual journey. 10/10 recommend. i’m so grateful for the opportunity. it’s a birthday i’ll never forget! thank you and love you @danniwashington! you are the supreme @themochamermaid 🧜🏾‍♀️ and i’m glad we got to experience this together! #hbdtome! @disney @disneylittlemermaid by @stayreddy

it was SO HOT in cannes 🥵 that the power shut off briefly at the @femalequotient beach! so ofc @keke got on the megaphone and turned it into a cute lil’ karaoke. our girl was everyyyyywhere and so sweet to everyone. what a time.more cannes content on the way! cannes, cannes 2026, france, french riviera, cannes lions by @stayreddy

JUNETEENTH WEEKENDwest oakland was looking so beautiful at the @hellajuneteenth festival!! it was a family friendly affair with activities for all ages - dancing, chess, soccer, a bouncy house, the hoop bus, double dutch, VIP lounge… it felt goodt! if you had a paid day off, you can thank @hella__creative for helping to push that policy through! 🙌🏾how did you celebrate? by @stayreddy

“is this a joke?… then we will leave the creators to laugh amongst themselves.”i got to attend the press preview of the new matisse exhibit and it left me so inspired. it was kinda funny to learn how much drama he caused with his bold use of color in the portrait of his wife in the infamous “Femme au chapeau.” people were appalled! it made me think about the journey as a creator, how we’re so afraid of being cringe or worried about people not resonating with us or our work. we have to stop overthinking it and just POST. share your story. we’re not gonna please everyone and there’s bound to be folks who DO resonate with us. i’m giving myself this pep talk too 😅enjoy this carousel which gives a glimpse into this wonderful exhibit now on view @sfmoma. there’s so much beautiful art, including a larger than life piece by one of my absolute favorites, @mickalenethomas!san francisco, sf moma, museum, art, creators by @stayreddy

the @gratoncasino expansion is here! the grand opening party was one for the books. the new section is smoke free! there’s a new top of the line sports bar, donut shop and of course, @ayasonoma. aya is a restaurant with a rooftop AND an event space. she’s so gorg!the evening ended with a special performance by the bay’s own @e40. i still can’t over how extensive his catalog is. as a vegas native, i can tell you that graton is pulling out all the stops for their growing property. you gotta come see it for yourself. #PlayGraton #AWorldApart #GratonResort by @stayreddy
