Its great to be hosting guests heading into Llangollen @llangollen_pavilion @llangollen_eisteddfod @davidgray @emelisande and others... we're pretty handy, ten mins away from pavilion (which is somewhere under that setting sun!).. by @staywalkcreate

No pressure! A joy to welcome two lovely guests from @visitbergen for two nights, booked for one night but then realised there's a fair bit to see and do hereabouts so staying on! Coffee, creativity and a rather special view of course ☕️🎨

Lovely to spend the morning in the garden with @luciafraser from just across the border in Chirk, chatting and looking out over the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct.

Lucia is a multidisciplinary artist working across painting and ceramics, inspired by the natural world, memories and a sense of place. Her wonderfully expressive style moves from canvas to ceramics and these beautiful bowls in the photograph are about to head off to @besidethewavegallery in Falmouth, Cornwall.

She's also collaborated with iconic British brands including Heal's and Hobbs, with her work featured in Elle Decoration, The English Home, The Times and House Beautiful. So, as you can imagine, we had plenty to talk about!

We've always wanted this to be about more than just accommodation (albeit lovely!).

A place to walk. To write. To paint. To create. Or simply find a little inspiration and time to slow down @carlhonore I'm looking at you there!

With Lucia running her first creative workshop with @thearcprojects next week, we got talking about how we might bring more creative experiences to our guests and work with other brilliant local people and ventures.

Lots of ideas. More coffee needed ☕️

You really couldn’t get much closer… 🥾🌿

@offasdykepath quite literally passes our front door and the aqueduct @pontcysyllte is just a short walk away.

We're tucked amongst the trees above the River Dee, making it a rather special stop for walkers, explorers or anyone who just fancies escaping for a night or two. taken in Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and Canal World Heritage Site by @staywalkcreate
