We are both humbled and beyond grateful for our Bishop and Chancellor's words in celebration of today's conference on the life, thought, and holiness of Bl. Fulton J. Sheen:

"As you gather today to study the thought of my predecessor, Blessed Fulton J. Sheen, may it ultimately be an opportunity to draw closer to Jesus. May Sheen teach us and inspire us to prioritize our relationship with the Lord and let every aspect of our lives flow from that relationship. May our work and study of theology, bring us to a greater knowledge and love of Jesus Christ, so that with Blessed Fulton J. Sheen, we may one day 'see Him face to face.'”

“I am writing to all the churches and I enjoin all that I am dying willingly for God's sake, if only you do not prevent it. I beg you, do not do me an untimely kindness. Allow me to be eaten by the beasts, which are my way of reaching to God. I am God's wheat, and I am to be ground by the teeth of wild beasts, so that I may become the pure bread of Christ.”
