If I lived closer to @bar_ape I would try all their weekly gelato swirls! This one was Ontario Apricot & Toasted Almond and today is the last day to try it. Really interesting flavour combo but their Sour Cherry & Brown Butter is still my fav so far!

Please help maintain our beautiful, welcoming and inclusive neighbourhood by donating to support this fantastic project organized by Julian Back and Kim Lesperance, that is sure to revitalize a park where many of our kids play and neighbours gather! ✨‬ https://buff.ly/2LAkEGF ⠀

Ontario said to be reverting back to old sex-ed curriculum in fall 😰

We believe that repealing the Sexual Education Curriculum and reverting to that of 1998 is totally backwards, and will leave children at higher risk of sexual abuse. The Education Minister and the Premiere will be failing to protect children.
THIS IS WRONG. PLEASE SPEAK UP! 📞

Here are the contact details for Minister of Education Lisa Thompson:⠀

. @loxandschmearto serving up some tips on how to be a better ally to queer/non-binary/trans/intersex/2spirit/fluid folks along with their delicious bagels. 👏🏻 Being more inclusive in your day to day may take some adjustment and more thought, but working to form new habits around the language you use could make someone else’s day a whole lot brighter. ❤️🌈 They have extra notecards available at the shop if you need a daily reminder or want to share at your workplace to encourage the spread of more mindful and inclusive language.
Notice how we used “they” in the paragraph above. ⬆️ We often use this when referring to groups of people or orgs and it’s just as easy to use non gender specific language for individuals. 📸 @emsakko
