Continuing Hispanic Heritage Month, SOC is celebrating Enrique Camacho (@steadimacho)⁣ ⁣ Enrique Camacho is a Camera Operator and Steadicam operator, originally from the San Francisco Bay Area and now based in Brooklyn, NY. I fell in love with films and filmmaking at a young age while watching movies on VHS with my parents. While San Francisco offers an amazing scenery and culture especially in the Mission district where I lived, I’ve always wanted to move to New York to focus more on narratives and creative stories. Working in the film industry has also been a dream of mine and I’m just grateful I’ve made that a reality. Collaborating with people on set to create art is extremely fulfilling! An operator must be proficient in many techniques, I love doing everything from dolly and handheld to gimbals, but I found my spark in Steadicam. I loved the element of control and finesse it gave me, allowing me to blend highly technical elements with creative ones. BTS of an interview setup for an #ESPN feature with legendary Coach Gary Payton. This was a quick setup (we only had 45 minutes) but we still managed to create something special. Shot on two #sonyfx6 cameras paired with the Ironglass MKii lens kit. We also used three Aputure light fixtures to achieve the look. As always, grateful to the team that makes this happen on set. Started this project earlier this year and have since spent late nights in the editing bay with @gilliam.poto trying to shape it into something honest Our profile on Zay is finally premiering on November 22 @studioaurora.sf in San Francisco. We’ll have three DJs and some local vendors. We’re also opening the night up to other filmmakers.
