A houghton id from H-foundations set at the stallions…Headphones advised for that ridiculous low bass and them prominent hi hats that carry it from start to finish.

Probably set of the weekend for me! I had no idea until I got home that Chez Damier had dropped out and these two stepped in so no wonder that they had it absolutely booting off
Enjoy:)

A record that really does just seem to get better with time;)

Quality tune that fits the name perfectly, just seems to be aging like fine wine. Proper UKG hall of fame stuff this one.

I got given a job lot of vinyl with around 80 records in it. I only kept this and 3 others, but finding this at the end made it all worth it for me haha.
Enjoy:)

After doing some digging through the UK label Airtight, I came across this lovely deep house record with some really nice soulful vocals.

There’s also 4 remixes of it, so loads of different versions depending on what kinda set you’re playing.

Insane how good Fresh & Low’s catalogue is though, definitely worth having a dig through yourself. 💿
Enjoy :)

Gutted I missed this release! Definitely right up my street this one. Released at the start of the year on Let’s Bud.

Some quality dubby tech house with a funky earthy/tribal like feel. All the tracks on the EP are worth a listen, raw/organic like elements is the only way I can describe it, very nice nevertheless🤣
Enjoy :)

“Now the dust has finally settled” Nahh… now that I’ve finally come out of hibernation! Thought I should share these two quality rollers I picked up at Houghton Festival!

Literally haven’t even taken them out of the bag until today, been too much life admin to catch up on🫡

First is Mushrooms (Salt City Orchestra Out There Mix) a unique track. Telling the story of mushroom trip with the vocals taking you through the whole experience, really nice listen.

Second is Electric Dub original release 1998 but remastered and repressed on this blue vinyl for its 30th anniversary.

After hearing so much of that West Coast deep house that weekend, this was exactly what I was looking for!
Enjoy:)

Hide&Seek pickup from the @Wax Merchant pop up stall!

I’ve been waiting for this repress to get restocked and luckily they had it in, I reckon anything Evasive records is a safe bet as far as rollers go, you just really can’t go wrong!

Big props to Rob Pearson for repressing these early 2000s gems and making them accessible for everyone again. Just goes to show that truly good music never ages!!

T-minus one week until Houghton, so it only right I post this beauty, and the low quality makes it even more delightful. Got some heavenly vocals making it one of my favourite uplifting garage tracks.

Very limited info on this mystery release, just know that it’s gold dust unless you have a spare £100…
I’m sure someone will know some more info than I do, if so please do share!
Enjoy:)

Some feel good house from 1995. A very nice listen this one.

Feel like it’s got a nice laidback vibe with all the warm elements.

Love the drums sounding so real. I think a lot of newer releases are missing that humanised touch these days.
Enjoy :)

Top draw house music to me is a simple but effective track and this roller from 2000 is just that!

No crazy buildups just a hypnotic groove that just makes you want to move ya feet.
Proper nice from start to finish, definitely right up my street this one!
Enjoy:)

Houghton is just around the corner again!

Id - B Siderz - Gunshots

To celebrate securing tickets, I thought I’d bring back this clip from last year. One of my favourite sets of the weekend, courtesy of mr Christian AB himself, the guys just mastered the craft, had it absolutely booting off at the earthling stage.

Exited to be introduced to some new music this year I feel like every dj brings their A game to Houghton, I left feeling very inspired after last year!

Sharing a Mudshow Mix that’s been on repeat recently…
Especially with this bomb of a track from Pancratio that’s getting released at the end of the month.

This guys on a generational run at the moment with some unreal productions.

The track Catch Me coming out on his upcoming Be Yourself EP, another quality release on Ryan Elliott’s Faith Beat label. Sit back and enjoy that build up:)

A perfect little groovy sunset one for you today, good vibes this one to match this weather…. Always Such a nice listen.

Julian & Fernando
two quality producers from the early 2000s, also had an alias under Silver City. Released on Shaboom Records, a UK label which if my research is correct was based in Blackpool.

Available digital and only one up on discogs if your quick!
Enjoy:)
