KAV IN SKY FOR EVER. 💙❤️✨ Merci à @kavinsky pour sa musique, sa singularité, cette obscurité étincelante et mélancolique qui traverse la #synthwave dont il a fortement contribué à créer. Aux labyrinthes bleus teintés de rouge, quelque part entre le Silencio de #mulhollanddrive et les nuits de #drivemovie c’est désormais vers les routes de l’infini et l’au-delà que voyage @kavinsky. synthwaves becoming soul waves. Découvert en 2011. Pour moi, la musique de Kavinsky n’a jamais simplement accompagné Drive : elle a créé le film. Elle en adoucit la violence par la force de l’amour - cette force qui traverse tout, même la nuit, même la mort. Nightcall prend aujourd’hui une dimension encore plus étrange : un dialogue entre l’au-delà et le présent. La mort et la vie pour une renaissance. Un zombie et l’amour. Le passé qui ressuscite dans le présent. Kavinsky avait d’ailleurs scénarisé sa propre disparition : mort en 1986 dans un accident de Ferrari Testarossa, il ressuscite vingt ans plus tard par la musique ou plutôt pour elle. Nightcall comme l ensemble de son œuvre incarne un morceau de notre histoire, générations 80/90 : VHS, cassettes, synthés, jeux vidéo, néons et de notre futur analogique. Écouter Kavinsky, c’est naviguer entre San Junipero et Bandersnatch de #blackmirror, regarder tourner la cassette bleue de @mroizo dans Reality en jouant à Outrun et/ou F-Zero. Avec quelque chose de Miami Vice aussi : une ville sombre, brute, presque fantomatique, la vitesse, la solitude et les lumières dans la nuit. C’est ce que j’ai voulu retrouver ici : la lecture des sons de Kavinsky devenant lumière ∞. La musique traversant les multiples dimensions lumineuses. Son nom apparaît, disparaît et revient dans les reflets. Comme un signal. Ni musicienne, ni artiste. Simplement mélomane, hypersensible à la musique et aux fréquences artistiques des individus. Le disque tourne encore. Le nom disparaît parfois. Les ondes restent. Certaines musiques survivent à tout : aux supports, aux technologies, aux époques, à nos corps. synthwaves becoming soul waves.
