If you ask anybody who has done a Hyrox for some advice, they will more than likely give you a version of “don’t go out too hot”. This video is a breakdown of why you should take that advice on board. Lock-in to your own race, ignore everyone else in your heat, focus on your own numbers and pacing, and pick up as you go.

Whether you are competing for a podium, trying to hit a PB, wanting to have a bit of fun, or your goal is to complete the race; starting off a little slower will make your race far more enjoyable.
