You never know who you're going to run into at King of the Hammers. It's clear that there is a resurgence of Nissan interest in the industry. I'm looking forward to more wheeling and starting to get the Nissan community back together in 2026. and maybe even a collective Nissan camp at KoH in 2027. by @steeevo85
I've been reflecting on how I would sum up 2025 in a few words. Initially I was going to clip it from my timeline, throw it overboard, or at the very least flip it the bird or tell it to not let the door smack it on the ass on the way out. But, I've had a shift. This shaped up to be an amazing year. It was tough, the toughest year of my life. However, I learned that this storm too shal pass. Some people run from storms, some sit in them hoping for change, and others throttle down to drive through them. Although my experience this year seemed to drag on forever, my dad went through something similar and processed it for 20 years before passing away shortly after finally figuring it out. What I went through the last few years is really really tough on the somatic system, and finally have relief on my heart, as well as restored mental clarity. I'm convinced that this same psycological paradox that I was stuck in was the same one that took my dads life. I'm thankful for my therapist, & modern technology to quickly make logical sense of things and complex multi layered concepts across multiple domains to speed up resolutions. I'm also eternally greatful for for my friends that checked on me, showed concern, and offered help in various ways. 2025, I wanted to get rid of you but now I'll remember you forever. You've done your job and I respect it. 2026, It's time to thrive in peace, productivity, and systematic harmony. It's time to start having fun again. You only live once, and if you're not happy, whats the point? I'm ready now, and I wish my dad was here to see my next chapter. by @steeevo85
Great people, a few good rides, & perfect weather. It had been too long. Calico isn't a big place, but its a cool place with a mix of a wide desert and tight canyon trails. Easy roads and and a few fun rock trails. After many years of being away from these trails it was really cool to be back. by @steeevo85
Dropped into the CA Science Center today and checked out the little shuttle exhibit. -I never thought about who made the shuttle tires... Michelin. Makes me wonder how that first phone call went. "Hey Mich, we're going to outter space and we need some space rated tires ..." or something. -There is a lightning rod on the nose cone for when the shuttle is on the launchpad. Would never guessed, but makes total sense. Good thinking. - Going to the bathroom on the shuttle is simple, only because there is a complex toilet that makes it so. -Built in CA, but the Large fuel tank was made in LA, and was barged through the Panama canal. (Not pictured) Although the CSS is smaller than I expected, the future plans for the full shuttle display seems like its going to be pretty rad. It will be a few more years. I'm looking forward to it. It still blows be away at how small the shuttle is compared to other common aircraft. by @steeevo85
There isn't a starting line or finite goal, just the experiences in between. -Me, I said that. by @steeevo85
I first heard of this place many years ago after my dad had visited on a dual-sport motorcycle trip. Since then, i have always wanted to check it out. I finally had the chance with a great group of guys out playing for the weekend. I wish my dad was still around to have gone with us, he would have had a blast. I didn't get pictures of all the cars and stops but overall, a great time. 7 UTV's, Solid comms, great navigating, ~100 mile loop, and no breaks: Great success. Oatman Arizona, i'm sure ill be back to feed the donkeys. ✌ #oatman #utv #offroad #wildlife #explore #arizona #donkey by @steeevo85
Slowing down my exhausted brain, learning the fascinating story about the iridium satellite network and consequently why they haven't been ideal for tracking off road races. by @steeevo85
