The documents are only half the plan.

Trusts protect the money. But only a family culture teaches the next generation how to build with it.

The families whose wealth actually compounds across generations do three things the paperwork can't do alone:

1️⃣ They govern: regular family meetings so kids and grandkids know the plan, the values behind it, and their role. No surprises at the funeral.

Most people think about their tax bill once a year, in April.

By then, the year is closed. The moves that lower the bill have expired.

A mid-year projection flips that. It shows where you stand while you can still act.

A 20-minute mid-year tax projection looks at four things:

1️⃣ Income on pace. Compare year-to-date income against your annual estimate. Catch surprises while they are still small.

2️⃣ Payments vs. liability. Check withholding and estimated payments against projected tax. Close the gap before it grows.

3️⃣ Gains already booked. Tally realized capital gains so far. Know the bill before December, not after.

4️⃣ Moves still open. Roth conversions, loss harvesting, and deferred comp elections all close at year-end. June keeps them on the table.

Twenty minutes in June saves a stressful April. The clients with the smallest bills plan now, not next spring.

Small reviews, done early, compound into real savings.

Today is the deadline.

Your Q2 estimated tax payment is due to the IRS by end of business.

It covers income you earned April 1 through May 31. Miss it, and underpayment penalties start adding up at roughly 7% annualized. Anyone expecting to owe $1,000 or more this year needs to pay.

If you haven't paid yet, here's how to handle it fast:

1️⃣ Pay through IRS Direct Pay. No fee, straight from your bank account. It's the fastest option today.

2️⃣ Use EFTPS if you're enrolled. Already set up? It works just as well.

3️⃣ Save the confirmation. You'll need it at year-end. Don't skip this step.

Estimated taxes are more than compliance. Each payment is a quarterly read on your plan. Use today to check Q2 against your January projection, then adjust Q3 and Q4 if the numbers have moved.
