Introducing: Bèrke the BX! This red beast with yellow headlights is a rather late example of the BX Break. It was built in 1991 (a wonderful year, if I may say so myself) and is powered by the legendary XUD unit from PSA. That is to say, it’s a 19 RD with an atmospheric diesel engine. That is to say, it’ll pull anything, as long as you are patient enough.

Now we’re ready for longer trips with @actafabulaest_ and our kids (second expected in February), furniture and accessory hauls with @bazigheden and participation in @kekkekarren’s next Kekkekarrentexelrally. Because let’s be honest, isn’t this much more of a “kekke kar” than the Dyane?

I’m happy I’m leaving the Dyane in the expert hands of Marc @chevauxdeux. If you’re interested in becoming Frangipane’s next caretaker, give him a call! It’s truly a fun and zippy machine to drive. I’ve gotten a lot of joy out of it, but now the time felt right to switch to something else. by @steely_dyane

The BX was in great company at the “A t/m ZX Markt” in Brunssum today. It was great catching up with @carsoftheweezenhof, @residential_cars, @de_snoekfabriek and @citroenazu. Unfortunately I missed @parkedindutchstreets today.
Stickers were exchanged and applied, parts were scavenged and the BX was scrutinized. We didn’t get a prize, but now we know how to fix the ventilation fan that is not working half of the time.
We even saw a few other BXs, although last year’s turnout was even better with a few Phase 1 BXs. taken in Schutterspark by @steely_dyane

If you like yellow cars, this one’s for you! I visited @de_snoekfabriek to get Bèrke the BX thoroughly examined (see last pictures).

In the meantime, I went to pay another visit to @visscherclassique. They still have an ongoing expo on the history of the Dutch roadside assistance, ANWB. I loved seeing the neatly organized boot spaces, with all tools meticulously ordered.

And then there was the surprise visit: suddenly we heard the characteristic flat twin whine of a bamboo green Dyane. It was @carsoftheweezenhof who wanted to check out my new car firsthand ☺️ thanks for coming by B-bro! by @steely_dyane

Bloemlezing van de bijzondere Belgische bijeenkomst der Bas-Bram-Beweging in Hasselt en Genk.
Er waren vette auto’s. Er zijn Belgische wegen getrotseerd. Er is gewandeld door het water. Er was een sticker en cadeaux. Er was een nieuwe doorkijkkerk van Gijs Van Vaerenbergh. Er was zelfgebakken vlaai en brood. Er waren frieten.
